We have for sale a very fine example of a fully restored BMW Isetta 300 sliding window model which was completed by the owner few month ago.The two tone Japan Red/ Feather White paint was applied over a rust free body divided by the proper original two tone aluminum belt line trim piece.Other restorers dividing the two colors by painting the darker second color against the side window aluminum channel.This was never an option for any US spec Isetta. BMW painted the front door with the solid lighter color in order to save production time.A two tone "V" shape front door however was optional but the paint did not followed the stamped "V" lines but rather few inches away from the stamping in order to line up without an offset to the belt line trim piece. Think about your next purchase of an Isetta being painted incorrectly. It is always easier to correct some chrome issues or interior flaws but repainting a body will set you back many $$$ unless the price will reflect the condition. The owner took his time restoring this fully matching number Isetta to a high standard with many quality parts supplied by IsettasRus and others. Many before and after pictures were taken during the restoration process in order to document the work effort that was performed. The owner delivered this fine Isetta to us in order to install some upgrades as well checking all the components before the Isetta will be offered. A embossed Gray panel set with a matching correct Red basket weave seat cover and map pocket are installed among with the rubber floor mat instead cheap carpet. The Black sunroof with the proper needle point pattern gave this Isetta a nice contrast over the Feather White paint. The owner choose the Black Metro Moulding gasket set versus the Gray creating a balance to the exterior paint. New BF Goodrich 480 x10 White wall tires were installed in conjunction with the anodized aluminum embossed hubcaps. Everything on the chassis was replaced including all bushings/cables/brakes/bearings and all of the hardware.The under side floor board and frame is very nicely painted and detailed. Spend the extra time and make the underside shine. Only Black painted undercoating will hide issues which by the way was never applied at the factory. New German brand drive couplers a correct muffler system and a new zinc plated gas tank with a rebuilt original Everbest fuel valve are installed. The original side and rear windows are in great condition and are re-installed with new rubber seals and Gray locking strip.The side windows received new 100% flocked felt tracks as well new sweeper seals.Having covered fewer than 500 Miles since restoration, the Isetta is in exceptional condition,showing just minorevidence of recent use. Presenting a stunning appearance, it demonstrates excellent performance from the fresh engine and smooth shifting transmission ideal for touring in town or city. However we will never describe a car as perfect and buyer should have expectations of typical minor dings/chips or small scratches. We detailed this great Isetta and parked it inside our air conditioned showroom among many other fine Automobiles. This Isetta will be sold "as is" without any warranty. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and or to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to purchase based upon that judgment soley.
