1978 Pontiac Trans Am Y88 NUMBERS MATCHING, RUNNING CAR! Here is a running, driving, numbers matching 1978 Y88 Special Edition Trans Am. It has all of the correct, original and hard to find Y88 goodies as you can see in the pictures. The dash VIN matches the engine block number stampings, the vehicles registration and the original build sheet. The vehicle is registered to me, I am a private seller. It has its original and correct fender tag, also pictured. The pictures of the car were taken this morning. All of the air conditioning components are in place, it even has a few of the original tower clamps in place. I believe the radiator and even the radiator cap are correct for the year. The car much of its origianl paint and I believe the decals are also factory. It will need paint and some bodywork. I realize the front seats have 1979 or never covers on them. As you can see the floors and trunk are solid.The dash is in fantastic shape. I have just spent well over $2,000 on 5 used OEM spoilers for the car, a tune up, an oil change, radiator flush, transmission oil change and a rear differential oil change. It has a new starter, a new alternator and a new battery. The engine does not burn oil, or make any strange noises, it runs very strong and shifts through the gears nicely. I drove it 120 miles yesterday. The car has a partial build sheet which clearly shows this to be a Y88 car. It does not have the W72 or WS6 option. The car is located in southwestern Canada, about 5 minutes from Sumas, Washington which is a major import export hub. People living in the United States can import this car through a broker in Sumas for a fee of about $400. I am more than willing to assist a buyer by driving the car to Sumas WA and helping load it on a truck for you. Of course you are also welcome to come here and pick the car up for yourself. I welcome any inpections you wish but they will be done at your cost. A non refundable deposit of $500 is required withing 24 hours of the auction closing. Please ask questions before placing a bid.
