Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a VERY RARE Pontiac Firebird Bandit II or Bandit 2. This vehicle started out at a 1991 Pontiac Trans Am with T Tops. Only 600 in 1991 were converted to the Bandit II this car is #40 that year. This was a dealer option that was very expensive! The car features a 305 that I was told has 85,000 miles and the transmission is a TH350 with 55, 000 miles. The vehicle starts easily and runs great! I have personally driven the car over 100 miles and it runs great but needs an alignment. I had my mechanic check out the car and he says it looks like a great car to restore! The power windows, flip up headlights, and all the other electrical seem to be in order, even the hatch motor still closes properly. The car is virtually rust free there is a small spot on the hood and near the gas cap that is starting to rust but nothing major. The frame even looks great! The car will need a little body work as some of the ground effects are cracked and have been duct taped with black tape. There are a few dings in the drivers fender, drivers door and hood. Someone replaced the front bumper and spray painted it. Most of the paint shines VERY well but I would most likely repaint it if I were keeping the car. The interior features a dash plaque with the #40 out of 600 on it. It still has the gold dash and center console. The seats are in need of repair and covering. The back seat is clearly the worst. The T Tops look good and lock in tight. The radio has been upgraded with a Pioneer CD player. The steering column could be tightened too. The exhaust was taken off after the Y pipe so it's pretty loud right now, it will need a catalytic converter back. The car is an excellent car to restore, these cars are SUPER RARE....try finding another one for sale. The parts are still readily available. On Oct-24-13 at 09:27:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve a lot! You won't find a better deal on a Bandit II....Ever!
