This auction is for a 1982 Jeep Scrambler. It has a 258 6 cyl. motor with manual trans. Spent most of its time in Texas until original owner moved to Pa. where it was stored for years. I bought it from the original owners son. A great barn find. Body is in very good condition. Has some surface rust but zero holes anywhere. Bed is very good, Tailgate very good, bulkhead very good, floors are good. Passenger side floor very good with minimal surface rust, driver floor has moderate surface rust. Floors are NOT in need of being replaced. Frame is very good. Have spare wheel and tire. Tires are in good shape as well. It also has a 3 inch body lift. This scrambler also has the original wood bed rails, and the rocker panel trim piece. It does run but has been sitting for years. I would plan on trailering or shipping it to your home. Overall a great scrambler project for someone which was my original plan but have another project and wife said one or the other. Thanks for lookingOn Oct-14-13 at 07:18:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Just talked to the previous owner who I purchased the scrambler from. prior to me buying it he had performed the following in the past year. installed new battery, plugs, wires, distributor, new engine mounts, rebuilt radiator, new gas tank and the motor was rebuilt @ 100,000 miles. The rear seal on the transmission is leaking and will need to be replaced
