I'm selling my dads 1949 Chevy 3100 step-side long bed with the standard cab. It is an amazing truck. Truck was purchased at an auction to raise money for a local church. This truck is a real head turner. I hate to sell, but due to economic times we are forced to sell. The truck has a salvage title which it had when we bought it in 2011. The previous owner took the truck that was damaged due to neglect and fully restored it in 2005. He went through everything. Exterior, interior, motor (235 straight six), drive train, suspension, all stripped, painted, and rebuilt. New Dual chrome exhaust (sounds awesome). There is a Battery Tender trickle charger that comes with the truck that has been professionally mounted next to the battery, so when you are in-between car shows the battery stays charged. It has a 12v conversion and has a 110 cord that you simply plug in. New wood bed and side rails. And new wheels with vintage hubcaps and whitewall tires. Tires show very little wear and do not leak.(Includes spare as seen in pictures) We have driven the truck very little since purchase. Odometer reads 2860, which we assume are the miles on the truck since the full rebuild. No way to tell if those are original miles or not, but the truck drives very smooth for its age. Very fun to cruise along the beach on a Sunday afternoon. A real head turner. The Previous owners also added many chrome touches including re-chroming bumpers, adding eye brows on headlights, and paint-matched brow over windshield. Or at my dads Email: woodshaperdave@yahoo.com The Bad: Salvage title like previously stated, and there are some very minor scratches in non obtrusive places in the paint.(very few, very minor). Also, NO STEREO or cd player of any kind. We didn't buy it with one and never put one in. The stock radio location is still there and has a cover over it that looks like it belongs there. There is although, some very nice alpine speakers that were custom mounted in the dash. (see in pictures) There are, I've found, a few companies that offer aftermarket stereos that fit in the 49' dash and look like original am/fm radios, but have hidden usb and mp3 connections. These radios will run you around 150$ max. Not a big deal. No rust Found! Truly a great deal at this price. Great investment. Own a piece of history!
