Vehicle Detail
This is an original REAL *1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am*. It's a very Rare car. It's even more rare to find one with low mileage, numbers matching and in this good of condition. If you know your cars...then you know what this car is. Please take your time, look at the pictures and feel free to email us with any additional questions. Serious bidders only please. When looking at the pictures you will see..that all the lights work, everything is correct on this car. It's truly a nice car! A lot of time of money went into getting this car right. Not rigged up cheaply..but done right! The interior is new & the paint is new and slick. Looks just like it did in 1979. Here is your chance to own a piece of automotive history. We've set the reserve below low market value. On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being perfect) this car is an 8.5! 1979 Anniversary Trans Am 57K Mileage has been verified through the MO Highway Patrol. Has the original build sheet with the car NO RUST ON THIS CAR! New tires 6.6 403 Automatic T-Tops 4 wheel disc has original jack and spare tire still intact New weather stripping New shag carpet (the anniversary series came out with a high quality shag carpet - not the regular hook/pile carpet in the other Firebirds or TAs) We'd be glad to answer any questions that you have about this vehicle & feel very confident that you won't be able to find one this nice...anywhere near the price we've set at the reserve. On Oct-08-13 at 20:22:42 PDT, seller added the following information: This TA does have a new VIN plate. It was ordered and placed by the MO State Highway Patrol. When the installed the new VIN (with the original number) they inspected the transmission numbers, the engine numbers and ran all the history as well as verified the mileage. This is a very well documented vehicle! On Oct-11-13 at 18:56:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Please read the below question: Q: whats the reason for new vin plate? thanks Oct-11-13 A: The original vin plate was tampered with and we wanted it verified. The original vin was still stamped behind the heater box on the firewall...we just wanted to verify the miles and have the visible vin plate. We even have the original build sheet on the car...but again - we didn't like the fact that the plate in the dash (that you see through the windshield) was tampered with - so we took it to the State Patrol Office and had them replace a vin and inspect the entire car to match numbers and verify the mileage. The State Patrol Office is very VERY vigilant when inspecting this issues, but when you have a car like this - a very rare car...it's worth the effort to make it correct. This does not effect the title or the value of the car. It does however guarantee that you have a verified car. All the information we listed - has been verified by the MO State Patrol..not just written by someone trying to sale a car. Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any other questions. We'll be glad to help.
