Normal 0 VIN: SRL311-08721 Engine:U20-09948 This is a really nice running ’69 Datsun Roadster I got from a friend in Albuquerque last year. He owned it for 20 years or so and just stopped driving it. It sat covered for about 10 years before I talked him out of it, so it has been in New Mexico for most of its life. I have gone through everything except the engine and differential. The brakes have nearly new pads and shoes. The master cylinder works well with no leaks. The rubber hoses are new. The front suspension is in good condition and new dust boots were installed as needed. There is fresh grease in all joints. It is tight and I just did and alignment. The front wheel bearings were cleaned and regreased. The transmission and rear end have fresh synthetic oil. I put in a new fuel pump and cleaned the gas tank and fuel lines. The carburetors were cleaned and tuned. It has new points, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. It has an SU (A) cam. The valves are adjusted and the engine runs well. The clutch plate and disk are nearly new. All the instruments work, except the Amp meter. All the lights work. The chrome is good, not perfect, but it looks nice. I have all the side trim, aluminum door trim and front side-lights. I took them off so I could work on the paint. On that note, the paint is not very good, but the body is in nice condition. The floorboards are very nice with no rust. (See pictures.) There is some surface rust in a few places mostly due to the failing paint. The trunk floor was split (it looks like someone put a jack through it) and I re-welded it. The things that are missing are the sun visors and the 5-speed shift plate. The windshield is very good. The top canvas is good, but the plastic windows are shot. It has Bridgestone tires with good tread. On Sep-24-13 at 16:42:18 PDT, seller added the following information: A little more information about the engine. It has the non-emission distributor. Doesn't burn oil and I can not see any leaks. Additionally, I am including a spare bare head that measures 4.51" thick. I'm including the extra head as the head on the engine is thinner than I would like it to be. I have not been able to get a good measurement, but if I were to keep it, I would replace the head.
