Hello, this 1981 DeLorean is a true time capsule which, until recently, sat untouched by human hands for over 30 years. The DeLorean only has 2,213 original true miles. Many DeLorean owners make these low mileage claims, but if you look at them closely, the signs don't match the miles. This DeLorean still has the factory installed Purflux oil filter and the original factory installed Goodyear NCT tires with more than 98% tread left on them (tires removed from vehicle due to flattening by dry rot, but still have them for proof of mileage). Other than an after-market alarm that was added to the car, everything is original to the car, including the motor oil, and it still looks as clean as it did the day it was poured in. Unfortunately, the car was left parked for over 30 years uncovered and suffered some intense sun damage, a cracked front windshield, and three very minor dings (one on the side right front fender, top left front fender and top center hood) (please view photos). The interior of the car suffered the most as did the front and rear facias (please view photos). However, the frame of the car is solid and rust free!!! The car was pushed onto a car trailer and moved to my home where it now sits in my garage. I've done nothing to the car other than wash it down and attach a battery to see if the engine would turn over, and it sure did. I did not make any attempts to turn the car on or touch any of the mechanics. I'm not a mechanic and have no desire to experiment on this type of car. The car is as I found it. Due to the unknown history and the age of this car, the DeLorean is being sold as is with no warranties and no title. The car is no longer in the DMV system but will come with bill of sale.
