There was an issue with one of the radiator hoses being too close to the alternator, which caused it to be gradually torn and leak fluid. Hose has been replaced and set correctly.2. Battery was old and unreliable, replaced with Optima Yellowtop.3. Two braided hoses running along side engine were original from 77, questionable. Replaced with new hoses.4. New alternator and voltage regulator. 5. Brake lines flushed and working properly.Up for sale is my baby... my 1977 Datsun 280z. I purchased this car in Granite Bay California from an older gentleman who was using it as a weekender and cruising car. I flew out there, and drove this car thousands of miles across all sorts of terrain and through the desert, and made it back to Kansas. Its tough. I currently use it as a daily driver and have had only a few problems, primarily due to some of the hoses being original from 77. (They have been replaced) The odometer reads 44,XXX, but Ive been told by the previous owner that it is actually closer to 200,XXX. There is VERY little to no rust as far as I can tell. (Small surface rust right above the tail bumper, on the lip.) The A/C blows cold, but the heater does not blow warm, and will need some work.Starts easily, shifts cleanly, and idles well with a deep warm grumble. As far as parts and modifications go, the entire car is all original, save for the small replacements here and there in order to keep it reliable. (Such as new hoses, Optima battery, new alternator and voltage regulator, etc.)I want this vehicle to go to someone who will appreciate it for the classic that it is.
