This is a project 1970 Lotus Europa S2. It needs a lot of work but does have a few very good strong points. The Engine does run and sounds healthy. It has desirable Cosmic wheels and it is not rusty. The Chassis appears very solid with no signs of rust. Underneath the car looks excellent. The Body is in rough white primer. There are lots of the typical lotus stress cracks in the gel coat but no major damage. It looks like someone had started to repair the fiberglass around the left headlamp but didn't finish. The passenger side door is from a different car but both doors fit well and open and shut nicely without dropping. The last owner was going to restore the car and cut a huge hole in the hood to be used as a air exit for a modified radiator, what he called "GT40 style" He purchased a new VW rabbit aluminum radiator and fabricated an aluminum shroud to direct the air to the hole in the hood. The VW radiator is included but not installed. Also included is a damaged but fixable hood from another Europa. Maybe it can be used to fill in the hole on the cut hood should you wish to return it to stock. The original radiator is not included. A good used windshield with no chips, cracks or de-laminating is included but not installed. Also the rear window glass is included but not installed. It does not include the rubber gaskets for these windows. The side glass is in good condition on both doors. Using jumper wires and a gravity feed temporary fuel supply the engine does start and sounds healthy. The oil pressure is decent. It has a header exhaust in good shape but really needs a new muffler. The gearbox shifts through gears fine but the car is not drive-able so it is not fully tested. The brakes do not work as the master cylinder and some hoses are removed from the car but are included. The door panels are fare. One seat is decent with one rough spot, the other seat is somewhat taken apart. There are a lot of upholstery pieces included that are probably for this seat. The dash top is included but cracked. There are several wood dashes, one is fairly nice the others are rough. All the instruments are here but some are rough and working condition unknown. There is no headliner or carpet. The wiring harness is intact and in decent condition but not connected to anything. The tyres are old but do hold air and the car can be moved around quite easily. There are a lot of parts included but I'm sure there will be some parts missing. There are lenses for the front turn signals but not the lamps themselves. Overall this car is a big project so please be sure this is what you want before committing to buy. All the parts can be packed inside for easy transport. Europas are fairly simple cars so restoring one isn't too complicated. This would also be a great candidate for modification and customization. It does come with a clear title and some other receipts and paperwork. It does not come with a battery.
