This is an awesome truck! I used it for Cross Country Trips, Music Festivals, Snowboarding, Beach Vacations – it’s just a great vehicle!I have owned this Jeep since I bought it used from a dealership in 2005 and it has been my favorite car I have ever owned. This is a car you can get in right now and drive anywhere. It is garaged in Atlanta GA. I'm selling it :-( because I moved to a small apartment in D.C. with limited on-street parking and my wife and I are going to share a car (hers). The price is so low because a local buyer flaked out on what I thought was a done deal and I had to leave it unsold in my garage in Atlanta, so now I just need it gone so my renters can use the garage. This jeep gets the best gas mileage of all Jeep Wrangler TJ's : it's the 5 speed 4 cylinder model and the 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ also won a Best Resale Value Award from Kelly Blue Book in the compact sport utility vehicle category as well as the Models to Best Hold Its Value recognition from Kelley Blue Book. To update the look a bit the rear view mirrors were updated to the ones used by the 2006 Wranglers and the tailgate hinge color was updated to black, like the 2006 wranglers as well. To increase the already legendary offroad capability of the Jeep Wrangler, this Jeep been upgraded with a 2" body lift, Rubicon Springs, Rancho Shocks, Mickey Thompson Alloy Wheels, 31' BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires, 4 KC lights mounted on a chrome windshield light bar, brush guards & armor, & Wide Fender Flares. This combination of tires and suspension is perfect for the factory drivetrain and keeps the MPG up and the Jeep quick and nimble. This is a car that you can drive anywhere, any time. I have had the Jeep thoroughly inspected mechanically and replaced anything that was identified as an issue. The entire drivetrain was inspected and the driveshafts were balanced and received new u joints. The differential has a brand new rebuild with Genuine Dana Parts.New front rotor, pads, ujoints, caliper, and front axle cup were installed.New battery, battery cables, blower motor, resistor, heater switch, AC charge, and front speakers were installed.New deluxe pile soft carpet was installed because not everyone would like the rhino liner I had installed. Christmas of 2011 this jeep got a new rugged ridge soft top. In recent memory I have replaced the plugs, belts, pulleys, wires, O2 sensor(s?), clutch, tires, windshield, and of course I change the oil and filters religiously. I have driven this wonderful machine all over the country and it is amazingly reliable. This Jeep has 145,000 miles on the motor at this time and another 100k is to be expected on these bulletproof engines. They are legendary! I have really taken this jeep everywhere and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. You NEVER see Wranglers in a junk yard because they are never junk - this Jeep is just getting started!
