Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 2005 Kia Sportage LX 2WD. 153,000 Miles: Black/Black. No Reserve. The Good: This car runs Great! This car was always maintained by the dealer, with the exception of the last few oil changes which were done locally. Oil has always been “MOBIL One” full synthetic. This car was fully serviced a 3 months ago: Air conditioning recharge (A/C is Ice Cold) Timing Belt Change (Third one, these need to be changed every 50,000 miles) Oil change of course, new battery, wiper blades, Factory floor mats (Factory mat sets cost 185.00!!, but are worth it.) and headlight bulbs. The car is extra clean, and the interior is like new with no signs of abuse or wear. With 2WD it gets great gas mileage, (26MPG Highway) and is quite peppy. The overall appearance of the car is excellent, the current mechanical condition is excellent, and you could drive this car anywhere. This car is both quiet and dependable. The tires passed inspection, and aren't the "cheapies" but they are at about 50% tread life, and will need to be replaced next year. This just passed inspection, so PA Inspection good until September of 2014. This car is a one owner car. It belonged to a female executive at a large hospital. It was her commuter car, so all of the mileage is “Highway Miles” for whatever that’s worth, and the car was never abused. Everything works as it should. The CD player is perfect, and the radio gets extraordinary reception. The Bad: There is a scuff on the driver side rear (Small and barely visible) and a nasty crack in the rear bumper cover. (See Pictures) This car was backed into while parked in a K-Mart Parking Lot. (Complete replacement of the bumper cover, and professional like new paint) only cost 350.00, so fixing this like new is pretty cheap. The Fuel gauge is also goofy. It works, but the needle doesn’t go all the way to the top. It’s never been looked at, and like that for the last 18 months. It still works under ¾ of a tank, so it does not need to be replaced. The Pictures: The Pictures were taken in the early AM, and the car was covered in morning dew. Flash photography is not my forte’. The car looks better in person, and the flash makes the cars colors look splotchy and faded. It looks nothing like that. I tried to get the crack and the scuff as best I could. The scuff is way smaller than I remember. Bottom Line, the car looks good, better than average for an 2005. Value: Kelly Blue book puts the value of this car with this mileage, at $3850.00. That includes the devaluing for the cracked bumper. I would like to see the bumper fixed, so knock off 350 from the 3850, and that leaves you with a selling price of 3500.00. This car is marked for a quick sale of 2500.00, and that price is firm. The first 2500.00 takes it. You are stealing this vehicle. Check the internet, and you’ll see that cars like this are selling for 4995.00. It runs like new, and as long as you keep changing the oil with Mobil one, it last you a very long time. Of course, the car neither burns oil, nor smokes, nor makes any “Funny” noises. Like I said, I would have no problem driving this car right now to California. It’s been a great car, and still has tons of life left in it. No disappointments here. Thank you: Thank You for looking, good luck bidding. This is a NO RESERVE Auction. Local Pickup only, we will deliver the vehicle within 25 Miles of Allentown, PA. Vehicle condition: A word about the Vehicle condition: Out of love for their cars, many people overrate their cars true condition. It’s human nature. However, there is actually a set standard for a car to meet the Kelly Blue Book’s criteria for “Excellent”, “Very Good”, “Good”, “Fair”, and “Poor” automobile condition. After an in depth study, this cars value is based on “Good Condition”. The following description is taken right from KBB’s website. Good 54% of all cars we value meet this criterion. •Has some repairable cosmetic defects and is free of major mechanical problems…Yes, the rear bumper cover, NO Major mechanical defects. •May need some servicing…..Needs NO servicing. •The paint and bodywork may require minor touch-ups…..Minor chips here and there, typical of its age. •The engine compartment may have minor leaks…….THIS CAR HAS NO LEAKS!!!!!!!, THAT’S ZERO LEAKS PERIOD!!! •Has only minor rust, if any………..NO RUST ON THIS CAR. •The body may have minor scratches or dings…….TYPICAL OF ITS AGE. •The interior has minor blemishes characteristic of normal wear…….WAY BETTER THAN TYPICAL OF IT’S AGE. •Wheels may have minor repairable scratches or scrapes……NO SCRATCHES OR SCRAPES. •All tires match and have at least 50% of tread remaining…….YES, 50% Tread Life, 11 months of inspection left. •Though it may need some reconditioning, it has a clean title history and will pass a safety and smog inspection……..SUPER CLEAN CAR FAX, ONE OWNER, JUST PASSED INSPECTION. •Some service records are available…..YES. Thanks again. :-)
