This is a great running, solid bodied camper with pretty much all the original stuff that makes them so fun; pop top, bed, sink/fridge, front hammock, table, spare in front, closet etc. I also have the original invoice of sale dated 3-9-71 purchased at "Robert Weiss VW Inc... in Middle Island, NY" It was purchased with extras such as "undercoating" which I think has served it well, and cig lighter which still works, an alarm system, fan and second battery system to run appliances etc. I have the file of receipts for the work done on my bus through out its life. It is fun to read the history! An oil temp gauge was added about 12 years ago so I see a temp reading on the dash. I have been owning/driving/occasionally during college summering in a 1971 camper since 1989 (this is my second one) but need to downsize. It started life in NY, moved to Wi and has resided in MN for 10 years but has always been garaged in winter. I just put in a new voltage regulator but can't see anything else it needs. It starts, idles, breaks, shift and stops fine. Sold as is. $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment within 7 days of auction close. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping.
