Vehicle Detail

1969 SS Camaro X55 Numbers matching 4 speed 1969 Camaro SS matching numbers 350/300 hp, the car is a X55 code and appears to have come from the factory with factory cowl induction hood, power front disc brakes, power steering,4 speed with console and gauges, 12 bolt rear end with 355 gears. Burnish Brown , Dark brown vinyl top, standard black interior. As you can see the car needs a complete restoration. The car has been with the last owner for 38 years. He added the hood and trunk stripes years ago. Starting with the drivetrain, the car still has it,s original motor, however the motor will not turn over by hand, I have not pulled the pan to see what,s going on, no matter what it will need rebuilt. I have pictures of all the part numbers and build date for the car, starting with the block, front pad stamping is TO811 HA no vin on pad, the vin is stamped on the block near the oil filter and is clearly visiable vin # is 124379N672399. The rear end is the factory 12 bolt BT 0603 G2 ( July 03 355 posi) The transmission is not original but appears to be a 1971 M22 here are the numbers. Date code—P1 M20C -- Main case –925661 Tail – 3857584 Side cover – 3884685. Bellhousing –3899621. The factory intake, carb, cowl induction air cleaner, and exhaust manifolds are not on the car but do come with. Carb.- Carter 7029203 DY 4MV E9, Intake # 3927184 E 21 69. Exhaust manifold RH 3946826 – LH – 39442527. Starter is incorrect # 1107247, alternator is also a replacement.PLEASE EMAIL FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILED PICTURES --- EBAY WILL NOT ALLOW A CLICKABLE LINK TO ADDITIONAL PHOTOS As you can see the body has a lot of rust issues, The sheet metal that will definitely need replaced are the fenders, quarters, rear inner and outer fender wells, drivers side floor pan (hole in front of front seat) Trunk pan , rear lower valance . If the car meets reserve I will include full length left and right floor pans and main center trunk pan from Classic Camaro. I believe you can use the front header panel, both front inner fender wells, lower front valance, doors, cowl hood (will have to weld hood pin hole closed), rear tail light panel is solid but has a small dent, trunk lid and spoiler are usable. The front sub frame is solid, however the rear frame rail on the drivers side where the factory dual exhaust doubler plate is has rusted out behind the plate and will need to be repaired appx. a 2” area ( see picture ) . The rest of the rear frame rails look solid. All the glass is factory original and very nice , there is a small rub on the passenger side windshield from wiper. Side windows front and back roll up and down as they should. Window trim and vinyl top trim are all very nice, front and rear bumpers are straight but will need rechromed. The interior is actually pretty decent, you can see the tear in the drivers seat, I think all that is needed in the interior would be front seat covers, carpet, and maybe a dash pad no cracks has just pulled loose from dash, may be missing clips. The center console, gauges, headliner and seat belts are all very nice, dash cluster and steering wheel are also in good shape. Door panels are very nice, package tray has been carpeted and will need replaced, also comes with aftermarket radio. All the wiring seems to be intact, headlights, marker lights all work as should. As you can see by the trim tag and the numbers provided this appears to be a real SS 350/300 HP Camaro, I know it needs a lot of work but will be a neat car when done. All questions regarding reserve ill be ignored. NOW if you want to do the ultimate restoration on this Camaro or that special Camaro you already own, I have but NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION, CAN BE PURCHASED SEPERATELY Just about every GM in the box NOS sheet metal you will need for the restoration.
