Vehicle Detail

09/18/213 PRICE REDUCED, bottom dollar: Your questions will be answered here and from johnrgoley@gmail.com as during this re-listing, my cell is 815-541-1906. This classic is worth much more than my AGAIN lowered listing price, all serious offers will be considered.. Mfg. Dearborn May 22, 1964, Originally a 260-2V in Vintage Burgandy, thus Candy Apple Red is close but by far prettier. The engine well & shock towers in the engine compartment are waxed like the finish of the car as you can see from pics; a completely painted undercarriage, all new or restored almost everywhere. The 260 2V was replaced with a powerful Hi-po (271) 289, Edlebrock 4V, sold the Autolite carb. I have original Autolite dual point and matching coil-replaced in a box, installed Mallory Unilite Electronic, have used on other engines and like very much, Front Discs, rear drums all new except for the drums. Stainless lines, No pwr. steering so no leaks, manual doors, windows and top, so no motors to burn out. Drives down the rough and smooth road like new or better, very good handling car, I can drink coffee with the top down at 75MPH on wavey blacktop roads without problem. Double red line Diamond Back Classis 14" radials, Stainless Wire wheel covers, wheels to bare metal and painted both sides. New bumpers and most chrome including grill pony, new matching palomino top boot as well. Immaculate car that has won it's share of trophies in nearby shows and 3 best of shows. I have more pics & restoration pics; will email as requested to serious buyer.. No rust anywhere on this car, including frame, body and floor pan, all was sealed and painted, not any bondo or fiberglass anywhere, never was. No dings, gouges or scratches except the small rear scratch about 1/16" long & listed above which is difficult to find. NADA prices this car out at $34K avg. retail and $55K high retail, ebay prices at $37K good and $43K excellent. I have manuals and restoration guides and catalogs to go along with the car, plus 99.9% of all invoices and expenses since late 2005, plus other data & parts as well as some new yet. I was told by the appraiser that if this were 2007, $40,000 would be low minimum dollar for this car. THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 18,000 OF THESE PRODUCED IN 1964, FIRST OF A SPECIAL CLASSIC. THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 13,000 OF THE HI-PO ENGINES,SHELBY GOT 100 OF THEM. I'M NOT A DEALER SO MY LISTING MAY NOT BE QUITE AS FANCY OR COMPREHENSIVE AS THEIRS. DuPont ChromoBase Used; Gold base, Red Mid Coat, CA Red Top Coat and multiple clear coats. 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THIS CLASSIC CAR NEXT APRIL......................................... YOU WILL LOOK LONG & HARD TO FIND ONE AS NICE AS THIS ONE...... Just a sampling of some of the new: alternator, water pump, belts, pulleys, solinoid, starter, harnesses & wiring. carb, radiator, hoses, horns, distributor, coil, oil pump, plugs, valve covers, ignition switch & pigtail, oil & fuel gauges, instrument cluster separator, all led bulbs, solid state constant voltage regulator, benzels, in & out handles, upholstery carpet & mats, console, radio, fuel tank & sender, exhaust pipes, modulators & mufflers, all door hinges, rebuilt 1966 C4 (improved over the early 64), new wheel & master cylinders, stainless lines, turn signal switch, new lights and bulbs, wiper motor, seals for windshield, hood, trunk & splash, qtr. drain plus and all new fireweall grommets, door and vent seals, weatherstripping for trunk, pillars & qtr. panels, underlayments, steering wheel, leaf & coil springs, shocks, door glass runs, front & rear bumpers & grommet kits, fan shroud, battery & holder, parking lamps & taillight benzels, body emblems and ornaments, pony and grill mounting, defroster ducts, heater plates & motor, ash tray bumpers, brake linings & pads, hood hinges, norns, rebuilt suspension with new parts, strong engine compared to the 260 and detailed to perfection and not many miles since complete rebuild as mentioned above, including the immaculate undercarriage and so so much more. Top has no tears or scratches but isn't as dark black as a new one. This is a known modern classic, emblematic to the time and spirit of its production for the Mustang enthusiast. $500 deposit via pay pal within 48 hours of successful auction or outside agreement, then balance via bank transfer or bank cashiers check within 5 days, this Mustang is also being advertised on other sites and media, so I reserve the option to close this auction at my choosing. This may the last listing ad for sale, if not sold I have tentative plan to install power steering, maybe go to larger wheels and keep for the wife to drive, but not day to day of course.
