Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is one remarkable 1967 Chevy Camaro RS in its original Butternut Yellow color with black vinyl interior. Sold out of Piedmont Chevrolet in Concord North Carolina on August 8, 1967. This is not a car that was slapped together for a quick flip and profit. I’ve owned this car for 7 years and haven’t driven (less than 300 miles) it much since rebuilding the engine 6 years ago. The motor has been completely gone through along with a new Center Force clutch, pressure plate and new throw-out bearing. The flywheel was replaced as well, all at the tune of almost $7000. Well over $40000 invested in this car. The Camaro is equipped with front disc power brakes and power and steering, along with a Muncie M20 4 Speed Transmission. The Camaro was originally a manual V8 car, that’s all I know. Now it’s cloned to look and perform like a 396/375hp big block car, except in dons a monster 454 bored out .030 over to 468 cubic inches and outputs at least 450 horse power. This is an unbelievable running monster with tons of torque and horsepower. Never raced in my possession and always garage kept. It appears to have all of its’ original sheet metal, quarters, trunk, floorboards, doors etc. Not a bondo queen! The paint is a repaint conservatively a 7 out of 10, which I would rate as a high quality driver. I tend to be conservative in my description of vehicles for sale. The interior appears to be original except where I added the console gauges and the high horse power tachometer. The transmission is a Muncie M20 4-speed transferring the 454 power to a 12 bolt 4.10 ratio positraction rear end that I had modified from the original 3.23’s it came with. It also has adjustable ladder bars as well. Since rebuilding the motor I’ve invested at least another $1500 in the upgrades mentioned above. The wheels are polished aluminum American Racing 17” wheels with 8’ 235/45 Kumo Ecsta tires on the front and 9” 245/55 Kumo Ecsta tires on the rear. The engine has Keith Black flat top pistons (9.5 compression) runs on pump gas, new Scat 4.00” crankshaft, hardened exhaust valve seats. New Comp cam shaft with Scorpion roller rockers. New drive shaft all balanced. Edelbrock Performer RPM oval port intake manifold, heads totally rebuilt, hardend exhaust seats, new springs and hardware, Carter hi-flow street mechanical fuel pump, new MSD 6AL ignition control box, Hedman HTC headers, Flow Master Exhaust, steel cowl hood, and too much more to list. I have the Proto-plate for this car which shows it was a North Carolina car originally. The undercarriage of the car is totally free of rust and appears to have all its’ original sheet metal. Emergency brake, turn signals, brake lights, back-up lights, horn, high and low beam lights all work as they should. Radio is present but not operational. Who cares anyway I just want to hear that deep big block sound coming from the Flowmaster exhaust. Speedometer works when it wants to. So bid with confidence! This is a great car! No excuses. New York State residents will have to pay sales tax upon completion of transaction. The car is SOLD “AS IS” “Where IS”. We do not ship cars but can help arrange shipping at an additional cost.
