This is a 1982 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM KNIGHT RIDER A.K.A. K.I.T.T Replica. PLEASE READ !!! First year specific to the show called Knight Rider starring K.I.T.T. and David Hasselhoff. This is the very year and build the show opened with when it debuted on tv. The pictures are from recent car shows, cruises, and some with a David Hassellhoff look alike during a comic con toy show. Paint is starting to fade and IS NOT PERFECT but shines if treated right has lots of chips on the edges due to the car is used im sure you will add more chips and scrapes. Front bumper has a 3 inch scratch and starting to crack but buffs out. TIRES are BRAND NEW and show accurate BFG A/T like the ones seen in the show. 225/60 R15. THE WHEELS and HUB CAPS are the correct part number specific "TURBO CAST WHEELS" with the correct part number 15" BOWLING BALL wheel covers center caps just like in the show. Seats are show accurate famous "PMD" seats full working driver electric seat all directions. NO TEARS OR RIPS. Passenger seat is manual. Driver door pannel stiching came appart slightly. FACTORY STEEL show specific turbo cowl induction hood functional. Hood is the "REAL" factory hood not fiberglass fake. Brand New upper door pannel top rails with window seals installed also from classic enterprises. Center console was remolded to that the ebrake handle can be used. Every one of the center console switches work and control something, which control items as the external speaker, scanner, trunk, rear amp, windows, starter, gullwing switchpad buttons so they light up, etc. BUTTERFLY Steering wheel is show accurate and the horn button works. gullwing switch pads mounted behind steering wheel is show accurate also and I believe it was for season 1. These are from jupitor electronics. All the buttons are show accurate and beep when pushed. These buttons include the infamous turbo boost, rocket boost, silent mode, grappling hook, right and left seat eject etc. These switches do not control anything but can be made to work but only make a tone. The tone is just like in the show and sounds identical when they are pushed. The FAMOUS SCANNER is mounted in front of the car and is show accurate and has different modes super pursuit, highper scan, etc. controller in the car shows you what the lights are doing being visible from the dash. (NOTE turn signal switch has cruise control switch but does NOT have cruise control. Someone else had replaced that arm with the wrong part) Also when you remote start the car the lights in front of the car come on with the scanner before the engine starts which is pretty cool during car shows if you want to act like the car responds if you were to ask kitt to start. the crowds love this effect. Rear view mirror Is from a newer GM Tahoe and has auto dim for the dark and built in compass. In Dash radio is TOUCH SCREEN Pioneer Radio AVH-P2400BT if you want to look up all the features. It is new and includes the receipt and remote. Includes bluetooth, pandora to iphone, telephone with in dash microphone, ipod, anything you play on your iphone it plays through the vehicle speakers etc. REAR CAMERA works and is mounted in rear bumper turns on in reverse. BLUETOOTH with a app on my iphone with speach so during a car show people talk to the microphone and appear to talk to kitt from the show crowds have a lot of fun with this so be sure to hide your ipod or cell phone if you plan to do this also be sure to turn the external speaker on to bring more attention. I made a dvd with different videos I used at car shows if you dont use your iphone and includes a security mode activated dvd if you park the car with the woosh sound for the scanner. Amp power and ground wiring is already pre run behind the back seat and includes a amp remote wire to the center console to turn the rear amp on if you decide to install a rear amp and subs. The roof dvd screen and dvd player is all one unit. More light up switches are mounted into the housing on driver side for looks. Comes with remote and headphones. Comes in handy to watch a movie at the car shows with the rear hatch open and the fold down screen open to watch a movie without having to use the car speakers. It also has a sd card slot if you have any songs,movies, pictures to watch on a sd card. RCA cables are connected to the front radio and out from the roof dvd to rear in the trunk as seen in the picture if you want to play a playstation or game box etc to play on the dvd screens. The six lights in front are bright LED lights. They have the famous halo blue look and better than the h4 halogen lights that always burnt out. The LED lights take a lot less power and can last for hours during car shows and are very bright I assure you. You control the lights from the center console and are used for many things. First they are used as headlights or running lights. The second and coolest thing they are used for is turn signals. They are made from a meter4it kit made for newer mustangs tailights. I had to use over 14 relays to get this accomplished. All lights if they are on or off will always flash sequentially in direction you have your signal on. the other three lights stay on or off with the main switch. Trust me it is way cool and gets noticed!! Obviously the front and rear bumpers are show accurate. Rear bumper has a camera for radio to be used in reverse and comes in handy. Engine is a gm 305 replacement and has a tag on it from gm "power pak" I didnt install this engine and I was told that gm replaced 305's as a recall for more power during the 80s. Computer is completely tuned and gets over 25 miles to the gallon no kidding. BRAND NEW parts include, updated a/c condensor, a/c hoses, a/c compressor, accumulator, orfice, fan clutch, radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator cap, alternator, KN Air filter, distributor cap, taylor ignition wires, spark plugs, front brakes with seals, new engine mounts, transmission mounts, rear diff torque arm bushing, etc. A/C has been retrofitted to 134a freon and blows cold and has updated 86 comaro condensor for better cooling. Original 200r4 transmission was replaced with the larger 700r4 4 speed transmission with extreme shift kit installed also. BARKS TIRES with every shift! It has everything show specific exept for the upper electronic dash. It WILL INCLUDE fiberglass tail light lense cover that looked like the show. I dont use it because dust gets under the cover and requires it to be removed to be cleaned it will come with the car. ALL RECIEPTS FOR ALL PARTS PURCHASED WILL COME WITH THE CAR! I will send any used parts I have with the car also. I will send directions on how all the buttons work and any wire schematics on how all the lights are wired. Directions will include how to start it also as the key does not start the car in case it is ever stolen it is only used to get power in run position.
