My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 BMW 740i (short wheel base). I would rate the exterior of this 740i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking BMW. It is finished in medium blue metallic and looks great. The body lines up nice and straight. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close easily. The worst thing I can say about the exterior is a loose piece of plastic trim and a headlight out. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The BBS alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching proper set of Michellin's with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos. I would rate the interior of this BMW 740i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, the interior shows just as well as the exterior. Pride in ownership shows throughout every inch of this BMW. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The dash is clean and not faded. The wood interior trim shows well and suggests that this vehicle has spent most of its life in a garage. The gray leather seats show well and are very comfortable. The storage compartment, ash tray and even the CUP HOLDER open and close easily. The power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and seats work properly. Both front seats are heated, too. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition but is in need of routine service. The 4.4L 282hp V8 engine starts easily but idles roughly. I did not see any fluid leaks and the engine does not smoke. She is running rich (most likely due to a vacuum leak) which is causing the rough idle. Intake vacuum leaks are a normal part of owning one of these cars...you'll have to replace the intake gaskets sooner or later. With this car, you'll have to do it sooner than later. It only seems to affect the idle of the car. It runs and drives fine but will need serviced. The engine keeps perfect temperature. The suspension feels tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. There is a slight vibration in the wheel under braking, which is caused by aging bushings up front. This is also par for the course with owning a 5 or 7 series BMW. The entire bushing kit can be had right here on eBay for just over $200 and can be installed by any shop...a BMW specialist is not required for this service. I'd plan on doing the bushings within the next 6-12 months depending on how much you drive. The engine makes excellent power and performs well. There is absolutely NO TIMING CHAIN NOISE...which is very important when considering one of these vehicles. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with absolutely no issues. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 BMW 740i (short wheel base). I would rate the exterior of this 740i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking BMW. It is finished in medium blue metallic and looks great. The body lines up nice and straight. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close easily. The worst thing I can say about the exterior is a loose piece of plastic trim and a headlight out. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The BBS alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching proper set of Michellin's with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos.
I would rate the interior of this BMW 740i to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, the interior shows just as well as the exterior. Pride in ownership shows throughout every inch of this BMW. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The dash is clean and not faded. The wood interior trim shows well and suggests that this vehicle has spent most of its life in a garage. The gray leather seats show well and are very comfortable. The storage compartment, ash tray and even the CUP HOLDER open and close easily. The power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and seats work properly. Both front seats are heated, too. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition but is in need of routine service. The 4.4L 282hp V8 engine starts easily but idles roughly. I did not see any fluid leaks and the engine does not smoke. She is running rich (most likely due to a vacuum leak) which is causing the rough idle. Intake vacuum leaks are a normal part of owning one of these cars...you'll have to replace the intake gaskets sooner or later. With this car, you'll have to do it sooner than later. It only seems to affect the idle of the car. It runs and drives fine but will need serviced. The engine keeps perfect temperature. The suspension feels tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. There is a slight vibration in the wheel under braking, which is caused by aging bushings up front. This is also par for the course with owning a 5 or 7 series BMW. The entire bushing kit can be had right here on eBay for just over $200 and can be installed by any shop...a BMW specialist is not required for this service. I'd plan on doing the bushings within the next 6-12 months depending on how much you drive. The engine makes excellent power and performs well. There is absolutely NO TIMING CHAIN NOISE...which is very important when considering one of these vehicles. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with absolutely no issues. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will ba having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later. We cannot accept personal Checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those transactions. We will assist you in that process.
