Vehicle Detail
This 1974 BMW R90/6 bike has had a Frame-out restoration, and is a matching #s motorcycle. The frame was painted. Motor top end rebuilt, including new rings, valves, seals. Very quiet-running engine, with new starter. Transmission is replacement from David Woodburn. All cases bead-blasted clean. Splines lubed, in fine condition. Stainless steel fasteners used throughout. Brake master cylinder new. Fork springs, Hagon shocks new. Flanders Euro bars, Magura grips, and all cables new. Complete new wiring harness. The saddle was custom made. Both carburetors rebuilt, new footpeg rubbers, pushrod tube rubbers, driveshaft boot. The Heinrich-Jekel tank has new petcocks installed. It is perfect inside, and out, has no hidden filler, or rust. A tank like this, said to be NOS was for sale in Carmel, Ca last week for $11,995. This tank is a lot less money, and includes a really nice running motorcycle! Handpainted pinstriping by Maine's best. Included with the sale are: the toolkit, the original (sport-size) tank in beautiful condition, and a pair of new Reynolds bag racks, in black. Also an extra front, and rear fender in primer to simplify a color-change to taste later on. The bike has about 40K original miles. The gauges have not been rebuilt yet. The battery is new. The Metzler tires have about 100 miles on them. A Brown sidestand replaces the deplorable stock item. Everything works, and this bike is fast, and runs great! Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I would be happy to assist you in any way, also local pickup is welcome!
