I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina LS. I would rate the exterior of this Lumina to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see from the photos, it has probably been a few years since this one has gotten any compliments. It is finished in a light beige and appears to have been not especially well cared for. This vehicle was acquired an a wholesale lot so here is everything I know about it. The exterior is rough. There is a dent on the hood. The right parking light lens is broken. There is a long scrape up the right side (probably happened at the same time as the other damage). There is a small amount of rust below the fuel filler door. All of the glass and lenses (aside from the aforementioned parking light) are intact. The wheel covers are all intact and presentable. The tires are mismatched and worn. This is not an especially good looking automobile. I would rate the interior of this Lumina to also be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. While nothing is excessively worn, the entire interior is noticeably dirty and probably beyond cleaning at this point. The interior is pretty basic. The previous owner has removed their CD player and not replaced the original radio. The original radio was laying on the front seat. I plugged it in to make sure it worked...and it does work. To install it properly, you'll have to take off the plastic trim piece and install it permanently. The heater works. Mechanically, this Chevy appears to be in decent running and driving condition. The 3.1L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. It is a little noisy but noisy lifters are common for this engine as it ages. I did not see any noteworthy leaks and the engine does not smoke. It makes good power and runs well. She keeps proper temperature. The brakes are a little noisy and may need replaced in the near future. The suspension bushings are also showing age. Out on the road, she also pulls a little to the right. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. If you're looking for cheap transportation, you and this car should get along just fine. She isn't pretty. She will need a little of this and that...but seems to run well overall.
