Vehicle Detail
I am selling this great 1957 Chevy Belair 2 door hardtop for a long time friend of mine that has decided it is time to find it a new home. It was purchased a few years back from his brother that had restored it. There was a new speedometer installed at that time and it only shows 350 miles. The original mileage is unknown. The current owner is a motivated seller and wants to sell the car for far less than he paid his brother. This is the reason why it is a no reserve auction. The high bidder will own the car. Do not bid unless you have the means to purchase it as we take this auction seriously. If you have a feedback of less than 3 please contact me first before you bid. As you can see from the photos of the car it is in very nice condition. The turquoise paint is in very good condition as it has been color sanded and buffed. I did not see any dings dents or scratches. There is no signs of rust on the body. The chrome and stainless steel is all very shiny with no dents. The stainless trim has all been buffed with no signs of pitting. The glass is all good and looks new with no scratches. All the rubber and cat whiskers have been replaced. The bumper, grill and headlight buckets all look new. The undercarriage is driver quality that has been sprayed flat black, and has been undercoated. Moving on to the interior it has a black velour interior with black bucket seats and black carpet. The headliner is done in the same fabric as the seats. The overall condition of the interior is very good to excellent, that show no wear. The dash has been resprayed with no wear on the steering wheel. All instruments seem to be working with the exception of the clock. The trunk is also done with carpet, although there is not a spare tire or jack with the car.The drive train is a 350 cubic inch chevy although the decal shows 327. The engine has an eldebrock intake and 4 barrel carbuerator with a low gear rear end. The owner states that it can chirp the tires with ease. The car runs out good. The 4 speed shifts well in all the gears. The clutch is fine and the brakes are at the top. There is very little play if any in the steering. This is a great car to drive and enjoy. This cannot be built for this price. If you have any questions you may contact me; Ernie through ebay or call me on my cell in the evening hours as I work during the day @ 620-655-4011. Buyer will be responsible to pay $500.00 deposit at close of auction with remainder to be paid in full at time of pickup. Buyer is responsible for pick up within 10 days of close of auction. All funds are to be paid in the form of cash, cashier check or money order, and must be cleared first. Car comes with clear title. As this is a used car there is no warranty. If you have been considering buying a 57 Chevy Belair 2 door hardtop this is the one. Thank You and Good Luck bidding.
