Letting go of my lovely red 1989 E30 BMW 325is. Very unique car, previously owned by the president of the BMW Car Club of America (CCA). I am the 2nd owner, and she has been garage kept since I've had her. Very well and properly maintained E30, runs excellent. Does not leak or burn any oil. The 325is features the standard 2.5L blocks found in other 325i models, but with a 2.7L head for a longer stroke and a little bump in power, hence the "s" designation. Coupled to a smooth shifting 4 speed automatic transmission. Odometer stopped working in January and sits at 243,064 miles. I have since put about 1200 miles on her, and would not hesitate to take her anywhere. She's been all over North Carolina, from the Appalachian Mountains to the Outer Banks, and I've never had a lick of trouble. Interior is in great shape for being 24 years old. Driver's seat needs reupholstering, and the dash is cracked in a couple of places, as is common with the E30s, but otherwise it is clean. Carpets and floor mats are in good shape, as is the headliner and all interior trim. Back seat looks like new. Exterior is in good condition as well, but could use a buffing and a new clear coat to be perfect. See photos where clear coat is peeling, especially on the front bumper and front left fender. Weatherstripping is in fine shape, and does not leak any water into the cabin. All electronics are in excellent operating condition, including the electric windows, sunroof, door locks, interior lights, map lights, all backlit button electronics, and all dash electronics. The trip computer is also functioning, however the digital display has faded over time and is hard to read. Has an aftermarket Pioneer head unit with remote control and iPod/iPhone hookup, compatible with the iPhone 5 as well. Sports the factory BMW Sound System, which sounds very impressive, and that is no overstatement. I play and listen to a lot of jazz and the sound quality is better than the Harman Kardon system in my E92 sedan, very crisp. This is the last year that the E30s came with the factory angel eye/halo headlights. All lights function correctly, including headlights, tail lights, fog lights and turn signals. Passed inspection a couple months ago. New battery installed as of March 2013. Tires have about 50 to 60 percent left, and are in good condition. Brakes are also in excellent condition, about 75% left on all pads. The brake system, including the ABS, functions very well and the car will stop on a dime. Suspension still feels tight, and she takes turns just like a BMW should. Very comfortable and nice riding, classic E30. In this condition, this E30 is a hard find, and you won't be disappointed.
