1998 HONDA CBR 600 Smokin Joes Edition No Reserve Auction This is a factory made Honda CBR600 Smokin Joes race replica edition bike. This is a factory production bike and is not an aftermarket kit. This bike one of only 1500 that were that were produced for the US and Canada in 1998. A majority of these bikes have been crashed or parted out over the years so the real number that remain is far less than 1500. This is a rare bike and was only produced in 1996 (F2) and 1998 (F3). The tank has the signature of Miguel Duhamel which was the driver of the race bike that this bike is modeled after. I purchased the bike in 2005 and it runs great. In the 8 years that I have owned this bike I have put about 10K miles on it. (It now has 25,691 miles) Approximately 6 years ago, I purchased a new Repsol Edition CBR 1000 and I gave this bike to my wife for her to ride. It was lowered 2 inches and the kick stand was chopped to accommodate the lower stance for her. The bike is mainly stock but has a few modifications such as flush mount LED turn signals in the front and rear and a Stainless Yoshimura RS-3 pipe. The bike is in good condition and is clean considering its age. It has never been wrecked but it does have a few scratched and scuffs on the side plastics most of which were on the bike when I purchased it in 2005. It has always been well maintained and garage kept and I always used premium gas. It has been a great bike and I am reluctant to let it go, but my wife and I are looking at pursuing other interests and we will not have the time to ride. This bike always gets noticed and we have had many positive comments about it over the years. This could be a great starter bike for someone or would be great just to have as a collector's item. I am including the helmet pictured as part of the package. The only thing this bike would need is a rear tire as the one that is on it now is showing some significant wear. If the bike is sold for the buy it now price only, I will have a brand new tire installed by my Honda Dealer and will also deliver the bike via trailer to anyone within 125 miles of zip code 32725. Payment must be made in full prior to delivery. This bike has a clean title and will be signed over to the new owner as soon as the payment is received. I had the bike lowered professionally by a Honda Tech, he used a dog bone lowering kit and adjusted the triple tree. The bike can easily be put back to the factory ride height but you would need to purchase a replacement kick stand as this one was cut down so that it would operate correctly.
