I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this truck to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a decent looking truck. I'll start with the obvious scrape down the left side of the truck. It looks as if someone cut a corner too tight and scraped up the side pretty good. The door opens and closes as it should. The damage is cosmetic only. Otherwise, the body is actually pretty nice on this truck. The red finish shows well from front to back. There is a tiny spot of surface rust on the front of the one fender just from the paint being chipped away. I did not see any rust bubbles or holes on the body. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. There is a factory bed liner in the back. The tail gate is missing. The tires show good tread all around. I would rate the interior of this Dakota to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this truck. The door panels are clean and tight. The cloth bench seat shows extremely well and is comfortable. The rubber floor shows well and makes cleaning easy. The dash is clean and free of cracks or fading. The cloth to the headliner is missing...probably began to sag as most do over time. The radio works and sounds good. The heater works well. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. The inside is fairly basic and simple. Mechanically, this Dakota appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.9L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I did notice that it, if you let it sit a while, it doesn't want to idle until after you've driven it a little bit. These are pretty simple engines so that shouldn't be a big deal if you choose to have it looked at. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes squeek a little but stop the truck with no issues. Out on the road, this little truck drives well. The engine keeps perfect temperature and good oil pressure at all times. She makes good power and accelleration is easy. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The inspection is newer and is good through March of 2014. We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle at retail price from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Please understand that each vehicle we sell is being sold exactly as we received it (unless otherwise noted in the written description). We always disclose any known faults with the vehicle in our description. However, the description we provide is based solely on our observations of the vehicle during our road test. These vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
Please consider this when you decide if buying from us is something you feel comfortable with. We try to eliminate as much risk as possible for our buyers but cannot offer reconditioned, warrantied vehicles for sale with No Reserve. We are happy to answer any questions from prospective buyers regarding our business or specific vehicles listed for sale and aim to make buying from us as trouble free as possible.
Bidding:
Please read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible in addition to posting several dozen photos of each unit. If you have any questions or concerns that have not been addressed within our listing, feel free to send us an email so that we may address your specific question before placing your bid. Please wait to place your bid until you are completely comfortable with what you're bidding on.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or ask any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Non-paying bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. This is not a game. Selling vehicles on eBay with NO RESERVE is very risky, which is why very few sellers do it. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time allowed by our Terms & Conditions, your account will be reported to eBay for possible suspension and you will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those transactions. We will assist you in that process.
