Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a true surviovr, a 1970 dodge D200 long bed. I purchased this truck locally from the son of the original owner shortly after his fathers passing. This truck is as original and unmolested as they come. I think the pictures will tell the story. I have seen many adds here on ebay stating "survivor" only to state they have been repainted, or redone in some form. This however has not. This beauty sports the orignal paint and items that it rolled out of the factory with. This truck runs and drives but needs some carb work/attention. Some of the items it does have are a 318 2bl, granny low 4 spd, saddle fuel tanks with floor selector, spotless dash and dash pad, perfect original headliner, and a virtually spotless bed floor. The original owner installed a camper shell at the time of purchased and had the bed covered ever since. The son could not recall a time where anything was ever in the bed. I did remove the shell however and no longer have it. Along with everything else, I have the original owners manual, radio manual and warranty from the factory, along with the factory build sheet. The body of the truck is near perfect for a 40 yr old truck. The only cancer is on the passenger side floor where the step well meets the floor. I can send pics of this area upon request. There are also a few bubbles in the pain on the hood lip and one small area on the bed that is starting. But these are all very small areas that I will gladly send pics of. Ebay would only allow so many pictures. I want to be as honest as I can, and would recommend anyone to come by and see it in person. I am a sweptline enthusiast and have never come across another truck like this in this kind of condition. I have not driven this truck very much within the past 6 years that I have owned it. It has been stored in a heated and cooled garage and only taken to local car shows. I do not believe I have ever had the truck over 45 mph. I did start the truck atleast a few times a month just to get everything up to temperature so seals would not dry out. I hate to get rid of her, but have another sweptline that is taking up most of my free time. This truck needs to go to someone who can do her justice. Payment must be by cash in person or certified bank check. I do NOT accept paypal. Once payment is received I would be willing to store truck if need be for no longer than 30 days for free. Please feel free to email me any questions that you may have or to make a time to see the truck.
