YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1991 GEO STORM (CHEVY). THIS IS THE 2 + 2 MODEL AND IS EQUIPPED WITH A 1.6 LITER 4 - CYLINDER ENGINE AND AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES, ASIDE FROM A FEW MINOR DINGS AND SCRATCHES, THE BODY IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. THE INTERIOR HAS SOME ISSUES WITH THE DASH AND ARMREST AREAS ON THE UPPER DOOR SECTIONS BEING CRACKED ..., BUT OVERALL THE SEATS, CARPET, AND HEADLINER ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. THE VISORS ARE UGLY AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, AND WOULD DEFINITELY BE SOMETHING THAT I WOULD REPLACE, IF I WERE TO KEEP IT. ALL THE GLASS IS INTACT ..., ALL KNOBS, SWITCHES, AND DIALS APPEAR TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY ..., ALONG WITH ALL THE DOOR HANDLES AND HINGES. THE HYDRALIC LIFTERS FOR THE HATCHBACK ARE A LITTLE WEAK, SO THE HATCHBACK DOESN'T STAY OPEN BY ITSELF FOR VERY LONG. ALSO, THE A/C IS A LITTLE WARM (PROBABLY JUST NEEDS A CHARGE). NOW FOR THE BIG ISSUE: A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, I REPLACED THE RADIATOR AND SOME HOSES, BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING, SO THAT'S BRAND NEW ..., BUT I WAS A COUPLE BLOCKS FROM HOME THE OTHER DAY AND WHITE SMOKE STRARTED COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST, SO I SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY ..., BUT AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE OIL ..., IT APPEARS THAT THERE MAY BE WATER IN IT, SO I'M ASSUMING THE HEAD GASKET NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE COST OF THE GASKET KIT (WHICH INCLUDES ALL THE GASKETS FOR THE JOB) IS ONLY $110.00 AT AUTOZONE, AND WITH A LITTLE WORK FROM SOMEONE CAPABLE OF FIXING A JOB LIKE THIS, THEY COULD HAVE THEMSELVES A GREAT COMMUTER FOR A VERY LOW PRICE. THE CAR DOES START UP AND MOVES, BUT I WOULD NOT SUGGEST DRIVING IT UNTIL THE REPAIRS ARE MADE ..., BUT YOU CAN AT LEAST VERIFY THAT THE TRANNY WORKS AND THE ENGINE DOES FIRE.THE MOTOR IN THIS THING PROBABLY ONLY WEIGHS ABOUT 150 POUNDS ALTOGETHER ..., AND IT IS VERY ACCESSIBLE ..., AND APPEARS TO BE VERY EASY TO WORK ON, SO IT SHOULDN'T BE A DIFFICULT JOB AT ALL TO REPAIR. I JUST HAVE WAY TOO MANY PROJECTS GOING ON TO WORK ON THIS ONE AS WELL ..., SO HERE'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE TO GET A CHEAP CAR, THAT ONLY NEEDS A LITTLE TLC AND SOMEWHAT MINOR REPAIR TO MAKE IT A GOOD CAR FOR SOMEONE, AND A GREAT COMMUTER.THE CAR IS BEING SOLD "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEES, AND IS A LOCAL PICK UP ITEM ONLY.
