Vehicle Detail

For sale is this 1965 Chrysler 300 4dr hardtop without factory air. I saved this car from a junkyard. It was on its way to being crushed when I got there just in time! My guess is someone, an original owner perhaps, cared greatly for this car once & recently. Then someone who could care less obtained & then didnt take care of it, didnt check the oil, got in an accident & decided a few hundred in cash would be better than fixing this classic. Im sorry, call me an idiot but I couldnt let this get shredded & made into a Honda. The car does run & drive. There is no title & it may not be worth getting since the engine knocks bad (probably a bad rear main bearing) In addition it has a heavily dented quarter panel. Otherwise the body & drivetrain is in amazing condition. The paint is entirely factory original with no signs of a re-spray. I stressed & thought & debated if I should list this as a parts car or a rebuildable car despite the fact that it cost over $60. to list it here. It could have been put in the parts car section for a couple of dollars. One of the reasons I paid more is so you could see more & larger photos as they really do it justice. I think it should be re-built & here is why I think so: A big Chrysler C-body without factory air is really rare making this more attractive to someone who wants to build a rat rod, race car or do a factory resto. There is more than enough to work with as the car is 99% complete. The pearl white interior is really special, quite beautiful & except for the bottom drivers seat material it isnt in bad shape. The body is relatively rust free & the frame, floors & trunk pan have no rust damage or holes: I am 100% serious about that! Why lie if its just a parts car? The only rust damage on the body is on the bottom of the passenger side quarter panel. I think you can tell from the photos (& certainly in person) that this car probably was garaged for MOST of its life. The odometer just flipped over so 105,427 may be the original miles but I have no way of knowing for certain: its just that everything is so clean! For instance: take a look at the perfect headliner, the dash board with not a single crack, the chrome on the grille, the glass, the clean body chrome, the steering wheel, the dash chrome, the flawless fender skirts, even the carpet, tho faded, has no rips! Simply stated, the car, tho damaged, is clean. The car does drive & move under its own power & the transmission shifts surprisingly well. The motor could go at any time so dont expect to drive it far. Brakes work well. Tires are only rollers but they hold air. It has a newer dual exaust, mufflers & no exaust leaks around the manifolds. The radiator is clean & has no leaks. The dash is all original including the factory AM radio. The body damage this has does not affect anything: the trunk still opens as it should & the tail lights were not damaged. The trunk pan looks rough but this is surface rust that I didnt clean off: I didnt find holes just some scale from aftermarket carpet that held water. You will need to decide what to do with this: restore? it will certainly be worth it in the long run. Parts? there is no way you cant go wrong if you need a parts car! Demo derby, I REALLY hope not but hey, if you buy its your baby! If I didnt have so many projects I would fix this neat car before it got worse from sitting. Id swap a motor, get the title & drive it as is, but I cant do them all, despite my wish to be able to do so! ;) My only goal here is to find it the right home, I dont need or expect to make a fortune. Saving a car like this is ts own reward. I know a title would make this more valuable to you & I could get one. I just didnt want to because its expensive & time consuming: besides if its not going to be driven on the road who needs one? That said, I can get the buyer a clear VA title IF the car is paid for & you pay $300. for my costs & time. The paperwork will take at least a month & a half but there is no question that it can be obtained. To show that it will be done (& that this isnt a scam) I will only need $50 up front. Once in hand I will send a photo of the new title & at that point you send the difference & I send the title. So if you want to restore/drive the car & cant get a title in your state & you can wait/trust me, it can be done. Please dont ask any other questions about the title: Either you dont need one, can get one yourself, or are willing to pay me to do it. If you plan on having it shipped I recommend Carolina Carriers of Mt Airy NC. They are a family owned operation so there is no middle man. You call THEM & THEY move your car, its that simple. You want a quote? Call Angie: 336-926-9884 They are professional, courteous & their prices & service simply cant be beat. Buyers without paypal accounts can't bid. Buyers with 5 feedbacks or less must contact me before making a bid or they will be removed. Selling a vehicle on ebay is expensive & time consuming so please take the auction seriously. For instance: ask your wife/partner if its ok to bid, check your current saving balance, upcoming bills, check shipping cost before hand, etc. I require a non-refundable paypal payment of only $250. within 24 hrs of auctions end so I know you are 100% serious about owning the car. I know most bidders wait until the last minute to bid/buy so I know you are at your computer when the auction ends: Take a moment to make the deposit right away. This will get my attention & help me know you are 100% serious about your bid & interested in & looking forward to owning the vehicle. I figure after 24hrs without the deposit you are not serious & at that time the car will be offered to the 2nd high bidder. The car is being sold as is, where is, with no warrenty expressed or implied: the car is almost 50 years old & it is in no where NEAR perfect condition. I have done my best to describe the vehicle honestly & to the best of my ability but I may have missed something you wish to know so please feel free to ask. If you want to speak on the phone or see the car in person write me. Buying a car online can be a scary experience if you get the wrong kind of seller. I want to ease your fears & let you know that after payment I wont forget you: I will still be here after the auction to help you get the car delivered, answer your questions, send paperwork, etc. Simply said: I will help you thru the process & make it as painless as possible. You pick a shipping service, they call me & you get your car, its pretty easy. If you wish to pick the car up, or drive it home I will be there for you as well. Thanks in advance for your bid/purchase, my goal is to make this transaction as pleasant & trouble free as possible.
