Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a near like new 2006 Buick LaCrosse CX that has been driven regularly over the past 7 years but not far. I am selling this vehicle for a friend that is not on ebay as much as I am hah. This was his Grandmother's car that has been passed down to him, he is a vehicle repair manager so you can imagine it has been well taken care of. It is basically a 1 owner car, his grandmother owned it since it was new and he has since simply garaged it. It has never been in any wrecks and is about as close to a brand new 2006 Buick LaCrosse as you are going to find. It was recently given a 90 point inspection by our local technician as well as a state inspection to ensure we were selling a quality vehicle. I will describe the 3 major categories in this auction; external, interior, and mechanical. Please read the entire description before bidding and if i've forgotten anything or you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to give me a call at 704-576-5004. Interior: The interior is exactly as you'd expect from a sunday ride, it feels clean looks clean smells clean and makes you look better by just sitting in it. Keep it clean and it will stay clean. The cloth seats are my preference due to the fact that they won't burn you in the summer time and they won't crack/fade/tear like leather does over time if not cared for. Being a CX this car is fairly base model, but there is a benefit to that in that it is simply reliable. There are less things to break, basically nothing to go wrong, and requires less maintenance to keep looking like new. Since the vehicle was regularly garaged none of the colors have faded, none of the plastic panels are chipped or broken, the walnut inserts are still good. This vehicle does have a cd player and just enough ammenities to get you comfortably where you need to go. All the buttons, lights, and functions work as they should. The drivers seat is power where the passenger is manual, and if you are tall like me you'll enjoy the fact that there is no sunroof. A. It will never leak, and B. It provides an extra inch of headroom not having the power sliding sunroof assembly hanging down from the roof panel. This vehicle was owned and operated by a Grandmother so you can imagine nothing has been abused, everything was kept clean, and it was primarily used for short journeys. We have had ZERO problems out of this car interior wise, the electronics are so simple and refined by this point (GM has been building this same car for quite some time now) that we have had no issues out of it like many of the european cars come with by always changing and innovating things. Which is great, but there is a point to consistent simplicity. Especially when you don't care if your car can compute the answer to life in the universe, you just need it to work every day and get you there comfortably. Exterior: The exterior reflects the interior in every sense of the word clean, being garaged is obviously the key here. No paint fading, no clear coat peeling, no dents, no scratches, no reason to not own this car. I uploaded a picture of the only damage on the car which consists of some small paint ships to one of the trim pieces on the door which could be easily touched up with some touch up paint from your local auto parts store if it bothers you. Not sure how it happened but there is no other signifcant damage on the exterior of the car. All of the functions work like new. The head lights, wipers, turn signals, brake lights, door handles, mirrors, trunk/hood, etc... All operate as they should. The car has been washed and waxed regularly and I hope whoever ends up with this vehicle continues to care for it in the same manner as we did. There is no doubt that you might as well be the original owner if you purchase this vehicle. Mechanical: I can't believe we are already to the mechanical section, usually my descriptions end up being much longer than this. But when you have a clean and simple vehicle with this few problems there just isn't much to write about and in the end that is a GREAT thing! This is definately not a sports car but don't let it fool you, it has 230hp, it will make it down an on ramp and keep up with traffic with 4 people no problem. It is no slouch, Buick doesn't make weak vehicles. To make it clear I am going to throw a list of the services this vehicle has had into some bullet points which won't be terribly long. Simply put it hasn't spent any length of time in the shop for any big issues. All recommended service intervals have been followed on time limits (not miles obviously) Just had an oil change Just had a 90 point inspection (no problems found) Just had a state inspection New Firestone Tires 1,000 miles ago New Battery 1,000 miles ago This car is good to drive across the country and back several times with only regular oil changes. It has lived in the city its whole life, never driven in the snow, rarely in the rain, regularly garaged. More importantly it was driven regularly. It is great to buy a car with very low miles but if it has been sitting for months or years the seals will dry out and the car will have leaks, along with a dead battery and dry rotted belts. This car was driven every weekend and a couple days during the week, it just never went very far. So the seals were kept lubricated, the battery charged, and the belts moved. GM has been building the 3.8L V6 for quite some time and 2006 was a great year for production, this vehicle will be running well into 200,000 miles so long as the basic maintenance is kept up with. The only thing you have to worry about with this car is what to wear on your journey. It is front wheel drive or FWD for short, meaning it is easy to tow, easy to drive, and does great in snow/rain conditions compared to the old RWD cars. Let us not forget that it also gets 28MPG on the highway!!! A comfortable vehicle to visit your family? A year long ride to work? A sunday driver? A safe ride to school and back? This car can do it all in comfort and style for many more years for much less than a newer or more foreign vehicle. Most importantly this car wasn't imported from who knows where, this is an American vehicle! Good luck bidding and if you have any questions, again, feel free to call me any time at 704-576-5004. You are of course welcome to come see and test drive the vehicle before bidding, it is located near Cornelius North Carolina (Lake Norman).
