Starsky & Hutch Limited edition 1976 Ford Gran Torino with 42383 miles on the odometer This car is a ONE OWNER with original TITLE, BILL OF SALE, OWNERS MANUAL,SPARE TIRE WITH JACK, the Ford issued warranty card , A FORD MARTI REPORT WITH THE ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET. I am the original owner and purchased vehicle in Chattanooga Tn. April 1976 so this vehicle paper trail of vehicle history with the paper documents. I was 22 years old in 1976 and made changes to car over the years like kids did when they got a new car back in the day. One of the first changes was to replace the bench seat with bucket seats from another Torino and added a center console for the arm rest. sadly the bench set is long been gone, I also replaced the AM radio with a AM/FM 8-track from another Torino the carpet is original in good shape the interior is in great condition except for the rear window package tray which has faded out. The car spent much of its life outside under a car cover only in a garage the last 15 years. The car has had one repaint 25 years ago but needs a repaint to bring it back to a show quality the paint has chips and peel places and defects u can see in pictures. The only rust issues in car is the lower right front fender under the Gran Torino badge and need to be addressed if repainted, the floor pans r solid and trunk ,there is some rust issues around the trunk lip that where repaired and still in good shape. I installed a set of Hood Pins when I first got the car but had them removed when I repainted car so with age u can see the repair that was made with the repaint. The brake wheel cylinders, shoes, calipers, have been rebuilt plus a new gas tank and radiator. I also replaced the open rear 9 inch chunk with a 3.00 posi unit to make both wheels spin.New gaberial air shocks on the rear and new shocks on front all the steering linkage is original as r the ball joints. The original 351W had only 155HP from factory so I installed some go fast goodies like Headers & Edelbrock performer Intake and performer cam, holly 600 CMF vacuum secondary carb with a holly fuel pump with MSD ignition box also replaced stock distributor with Accel distributor the block is bored 30over and I replaced the 351W smog heads with super Rare 1970 HI PO Ford 351W 4V factory heads ford only made these 4V 351W heads in 1969 and 1970. I replaced the 14inch western style mags with ansen 15x8 inch mags with BF Goodrich TA radial tires. The old parts I HAVE Are included with the car ,Like the original Heads, intake, carb, radiator, exhaust manifolds ,14 inch western wheels and tires. AM radio and the The original 2.75 ratio 9 inch open diff. so if one wanted to return car to original show room condition all u would require is to find a front bench seat. Ive tried to describe the car the best I can..
