Vehicle Detail

I’m offering my bone stock 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS. It is in as-it-left-the-factory original condition and has won numerous concours awards & trophies for its originality, preservation, people’s choice awards, and numerous trophies & plaques for how dead-on original and proper it is. I purchased it from the third owner who was the niece of the long term owner which won all these awards at various Midwest shows in the early and mid-nineties. It spent most its life in Colorado until I acquired it. In addition to the immense fun I’ve had driving it, it is bone stock original as the day it left the factory (albeit with a few more miles on it and a wonderful patina), and comes with the five trophies it garnered (as pictured), two award plaques, and a host of other Camaro memorabilia which would be valued at several thousand Dollars if sold separately on the collector market, including two original Owners Manuals, several original advertisements for the 1967 Camaro RS (some are pictured), and a huge briefcase full of Camaro memorabilia and other items as listed later in this description. This Camaro RS has clearly never been in any accidents or shunts, and is rust free. It drives straight, has its original matching motor and drive-train, all documented, the ORIGINAL BROADCAST COPY, as well as protecto plate (as pictured). It starts right up on the first try, drives straight & true, alignment is spot on, the motor is clearly without any mechanical problems, as is the overall drive-train, brakes, suspension, and all around a wonderful joy to drive. More, it would be ready for show as is, as a wonderful preservation. It does have a few small scratches on the paint, quite minor, as most its awards were in the early nineties and a few years have passed since then. I took over 180 high resolution pictures of this Camaro with my Nikon D800E DSLR just yesterday (I took all the pictures in & around Pebble Beach and Carmel yesterday) and happy to share the other photos to serious bidders by email, as I can only post 24 on this eBay listing. The much higher rez pics or closeups I can send by email detail the complete exterior, interior, engine bay, trunk, trophies, awards, etc. Additionally, inside the pictured briefcase are the two original owners manuals, original advertisements, a raft of maintenance receipts and documentation on its various wins and numerous awards, the events it was entered and won awards at, various title paperwork from the long term 2nd owner, as well as a 3 inch thick bound portfolio which has slipcase enclosed documentation of the various awards, brochures, original Camaro memorabilia, and too much to list in this eBay offer. If you are a serious bidder and wish for more details on what comes in the briefcase let me know, happy to answer any questions I can. It was repainted in the late 1980’s in its original Butternut Yellow color with the proper original paint code procured from GM. The interior is black and shows no rips or tears or scuffs on the seats, front & rear, and other areas. The front dash has no rips or tears or sun damage or fading, as well as the rear deck. I’ve owned several Camaros over the years but the 1967 was always my favorite! I’ve also seen a lot of similar Camaros on eBay and elsewhere touting to be original, but lift the hood and seeing a chrome air cleaner or other aftermarket components is a dead giveaway - clearly that is not original, in my book. This Camaro is dead-on original in EVERY aspect! I acquired this Camaro due to its bone stock originality, in every last detail, including the interior, exterior, engine bay, trunk, wheels, tires, and all its major & minor components. If you wish to go back in time and have a 1967 Camaro AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY, this is the car. It also comes with its original trim tag, protecto plate, original FM radio, and many other items as original, as described, as it left the factory. Also, it is equipped as original, as a Rally Sport Package. The hidden headlights still work properly, a really cool feature I’ve always loved! The complete interior and trunk is in great shape. There is no rust, bondo, or body work on the entire car. It has clearly never been in any accidents, documented both by the ownership record, as well as a full mechanical inspection of the front framework, all four fender inner-wells, trunk, and both the front & rear bumpers are straight and in excellent alignment, as they left the factory in 1967. This car took 3rd place in the 1990's at the Vintage Chevrolet Nationals. It has been kept in the same condition and started regularly ever since, and I have driven it regularly, and it starts up on the first try. I passed on many other Camaro as any sign of aftermarket parts turns me off. I wanted bone stock, precisely as it left the factory condition, and this is what I got with this car. In the briefcase are numerous advertisements, manuals, and receipts. These show custom features available, prices, etc. The original winner's book from the 1991 Vintage Chevrolet Nationals is included, which includes a photo of the car as 3rd place winner. The score sheets and other info from the Nationals is also included. It also includes the original envelope the original title came in. It is postmarked November 29, 1968. That makes me believe the rear spoiler could have been added by the dealer in '68 before the original owner bought the car. I believe these ads and manuals alone are worth well over $3K or several thousand Dollars if sold individually but add even more than that to the value of this particular Camaro RS for someone that wants a true collectable or a Camaro RS for not only show, but to drive in pure enjoyment a time warp original as-it-left-the-factory Camaro RS. As well, the rear spoiler came with the car from new. Early 1967 production cars did not come with the spoiler, but in late 1967 and in early 1968 they were an option which could be ordered and added to the car, as was the case with his Camaro RS. All the early pictures of this car show it with the rear spoiler. As I mentioned earlier it was re-painted once and a clear coat was added, along with an undercoat. There is a receipt for this in the briefcase of documentation that will come with the purchase of this Camaro RS. The briefcase contains numerous receipts, some nice original advertisements, two owner's manuals, the original protecto plate, the winner's book (with a photo of the car) from the 1991 Vintage Chevrolet Nationals where the car took 3rd place and other miscellaneous treasures. This briefcase with some of the history adds a lot of value to the car. Other items included in the briefcase include Camaro memorabilia (ie, emblems, decals, pins, etc) and I the trophies won with the car, as shown in the pictures. If you are local you are welcome to inspect this car during the bidding time frame, but it must be done before the auction ends as all bids are final. I will expect a $2,000 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours after the auction closes via PayPal. Then the balance of funds will be due within 3 business days after close of auction. If you have ANY questions please ask before you bid. I’ve tried to be as thorough as possible, but with a car this original and proper with as much documentation and memorabilia as it has, along with the concours trophy wins which signify its proper originality, I’m sure I’ve overlooked some things. The interior shows some minor wear, along with a minor scratch on the front hood, a paint chip in the front paint along the front leading edge of the hood (both which could be easily repaired with the original GM Butternut Yellow paint I have which will come with the car). I have pictures of both these minor faults which I’d be happy to send you upon your request. Overall this is by far the most proper and original 1967 Camaro RS I have ever seen in 35+ years of my various Camaro ownership!!! Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs but I will do anything reasonable I can to help accommodate the buyer in regards to shipping. I live near Monterey & Pebble Beach in northern California, so have easy access to shipping and/or trucking providers. Local pickup is also acceptable. I will only release the Camaro for shipment after full payment has cleared. I will only accept payment via Paypal or wire transfer. If you have another means of payment please ask and clear it with me prior to bidding – thank you for respecting this. I will try to be as flexible as possible, but as to getting paid in full for this car prior to releasing the car, I will insist on this. I have the proper/official Colorado title but never registered it in California, so it will come with the Colorado title. If you have any other questions, please ask before you bid. Only one lucky bidder will get to own this wonderful gem of a car, so bid wisely so you don’t lose out. I’ve seen many other close to original Camaros, but none nearly as proper and original as this car and in this condition, ready to show or drive. Good luck with your bidding…
