Vehicle Detail
I bought this car about a year and a half ago and have loved driving in it. The thumbs up from other drivers, and the talks at gas stations are one of my favorite things about driving it. You get attention from men and women of all ages! Who doesn't like to see an American Classic role by? Anyways, I have to sell this car because I am going over to the Middle East for the next 12 months and my darling wife is unable to take care of it. I love this car and hate to see it go, especially after all the money I have recently put into the motor rebuild. Here is a brief history of the car before I bought it. It was originally owned in Arizona by a husband and wife duo who used it as a their getaway car while robbing a bank. They did so unsuccessfully and the car was apprehended and put up for auction where an FBI agent bought it and babied it for a few years. It stayed in Arizona the whole time up until it as sold to another FBI Agent. When the second Agent was transferred to a Virginia assignment he had to sell the car (which he chose to do on ebay) which is when I became the owner of the car. I shipped the car to Florida where it has been garaged practically ever since except for a few short trips around the East Coast of Florida, and the occasional Sunday drive. As I stated earlier, I have just finished having the engine rebuild less than a month ago, and it starts up every time. The side pipes are loud enough to get attention and really claim that deep throaty engine noise that the muscle cars love to emit, but not so loud that they are a nuisance to drive with or difficult to speak over. The color is actually a very dark blue, but it looks black unless you're looking very close in direct sunlight. The red interior is a classic, and the owner prior to me had them reupholstered before he sold me this dream car. The interior gauge clusters are all original and show a little fading, but are still clearly legible and look great. The 4 speed pulls strong through all the gears and really gives it that classic feel as you are driving. This is the last year that they offered the metal front bumper, and the chrome on it really shines after a cleaning. As you can see in the pictures the car looks great from a few feet away and up close. The interior drive and passenger side windows tint looks great while driving and really help keep the sun out of the interior. The tint is rather old though and could use replacing, but still works just fine. The interior of the car (except the seats) is all original and there is some scratches here and there. The T-Tops look great and come off easily, just two levers on either side and they come off in a jiffy! There is a rack behind the two seats that you can store them on while driving in case it begins to rain so you can get them on quickly as well. Included is all the receipts and paperwork I have collected during replacing parts and having work done on the vehicle, along with some spare bits and ends of parts that I have either not used or had extra. The gentleman before me Below is a list of all the new parts and work I have had done while the vehicle was in my care. I believe the AC just needs to be recharged. Tires are in great shape with plenty of tread left on them. I am leaving on Tuesday 6/25 so I am leaving my mechanic's information for any questions. His name is Josh Super and his email is joshsuper@live.com he will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the mechanical work done to the vehicle. He has done all of my mechanical work since I've owned the vehicle. Thank you for looking and happy bidding!! One last thing I forgot, if you email my mechanic he has a video of the car running that he can send you as well.
