For sale is a 1966 Chevelle Convertible. Body is pretty solid - new quarter panels and new fenders were put on at one point. Has some body filler around the bottom portion. Most of the fit on the panels and doors is not the greatest. See pictures for details.Paint job is not very good and will need to be redone.Convertible top is newer and in good condition.Rubber gaskets on car are older and cracked. All the glass is in good condition, but mechanisms need some work. Some rust on metal parts of back windows. Car currently has a 350 ci motor that does not run. Needs a new battery and alternator.Powerglide transmission.Frame had some rot and previous owner welded patch panels on frame.Comes with the following parts to make her complete:Frame from a 66 GTO convertible - straight and true, sand blasted, primed black. These frames are RARE.- $2100Brand new Heidts tubular front suspension parts - $1200New front disc brake set - $600New front springs, lowers car 1-1/2" - $150New rear air springs - $150New rear springs and shocks (installed) - $200Being offered at no reserve. ADDED DETAILS 6/27/13:There has been a lot of interest and questions so here are some more details for all.The current frame the car is on is o.k. I was driving the car as it is and no issues with sagging. I bought the additional convertible frame for $2000. These are rare a rare find.The intention was to move everything over to the new frame and sell the other.The floors, cross members and trunk are in good shape. There is a little surface rust on the underside, but no holes or rot.It will not take much to get this car back on the road and can be a driver work in process.The power top works, just needs a little help on the way back up.
