I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of each listing carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in a nice "burnt orange" color which looks great and is a pretty uncommon color. As with most older Explorers, there is visible rust on both rockers and on the bottom of the rear hatch. The hatch shouldn't be an issue for inspection but you may have to patch the rockers in front of the rear tires. The glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels look good. The tires are nearing the end of their life and will probably need replaced to pass inspection. If you're local, I can refer you to a few places where you can get a nice set of half tread or better used tires for under $200 installed. The rear windows are privacy tinted and look great. Please expect normal wear associated with a vehicle of this age and mileage. I would rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show very well for their age. The seats are clean and comfortable throughout the interior. The cargo area is spacious and clean. As with most older Explorers, the center arm rest is broken/missing. The dash and headliner are clean. The stereo is original and appears to be in good working condition and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be operating properly. The air conditioner is cool but not cold and most likely in need of a charge for the season. The power windows, locks and mirrors work properly. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. There is a small exhaust leak up near the front if you listen closely. The suspension feels good. The brakes stop this truck with no problems. The steering feels neutral and responsive. This truck has good road manners. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature/oil pressure at all times. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. While driving the other day, the "O/D Off" light started flashing. It hasn't happened since but I wanted to let you know in case it happens again. I was driving on the highway. It still drove and shifted normally. That is the only idiot light I have seen during the time I've driven it. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. There is a small exhaust leak up near the front if you listen closely. The suspension feels good. The brakes stop this truck with no problems. The steering feels neutral and responsive. This truck has good road manners. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature/oil pressure at all times. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. While driving the other day, the "O/D Off" light started flashing. It hasn't happened since but I wanted to let you know in case it happens again. I was driving on the highway. It still drove and shifted normally. That is the only idiot light I have seen during the time I've driven it. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
