Vehicle Detail
1990 GMC K1500 1/2 ton Standard Cab / Sportside Bed Z71 - 4x4; 350 V8, Auto, Cloth Interior, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Cold A/C, Aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/CD, Newer Style Aluminum Wheels, Goodyear Authority Wrangler Radials, Flowmaster Exhaust, Aluminum Tool Box, Rear Slider, and much more. This truck only has 118,xxx ORIGINAL MILES. The motor has been replaced with a new crate engine at 87,xxx miles as the original engine shot craps for some reason. Engine was installed by a professional shop so all work was done correctly. Almost everything was replaced when the engine was installed as the previous owner let the truck set for almost 2 years before we purchased the truck and did the work to it. New items included engine, all new belts, hoses, dist cap, rotor, plugs, wires, a/c compressor, pumped down a/c system and converted to new style freon, a/c condenser, radiator, front brakes, brake lines, brake hoses, rotors, etc. and the list goes on and on. We also serviced the transmission, transfer case, and differentials at the time of the engine install as well. The 4 wheel drive is good and tight and works as it should. Since we did all the repairs this truck has been pretty much a trouble free vehicle and I honestly hate to see it go but need to sell it to get my son a college vehicle. That is the ONLY reason why this truck is for sale. I honestly have over $9,000 invested in this truck between the original price of the truck and all the upgrades - My reserve set set much lower than that so someone is going to get a hell of a deal. Truck originally had factory bucket seats and console which I still have and will go with the truck if the new owner wants them. They are still in nice condition but with those seats in the truck you could only haul 2 people, so we found a nice original bench seat and installed it so he could haul more than just 1 person with him. Interior overall is in excellent condition with a new ly installed headliner and visors. Carpet is original and cleans up nicely. If you look at pictures closely you will see that a third mat is kept on the center hump to keep carpet clean. The pictures shown are exactly as the truck is today as my son is still driving this truck until it is sold. Now for the good and bad both - Truck has its original paint still on the truck. It is a great looking truck and gets compliments everywhere as these trucks are getting hard to find in good condition anymore but it definitely would need to have a paint job if you want it to be pristine or perfect. Paint is week from sun on the top of the truck and truck did receive some light hail damage last spring - Is it horrible? NO. But needs to be mentioned. I was planning on just putting a new hood on it but never did so. As for rust - No rust on bed of course as these sportside beds are made out of fiberglass. Both cab corners are starting and the faces of both rockers have rust on them. As the truck sets you do not even notice the little bit of rust but again I feel like it needs to be mentioned. The rockers themselves are solid everwhere but on the "face" of them. Different companies out there are making slip over rocker repair panels and that is what I would do if I was going to keep truck - Honestly an easy fix. No known mechanical issues with this truck and a/c is cold. I would not be affraid to just get in and drive this truck anywhere. Cruise is not working for some reason as I made sure it was hooked up when we did the engine swap but for some reason not working now. As for shipping - Purchaser will be responsible for all shipping expenses related to this transaction. I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time as I do have the truck for sale locally.
