Vehicle Detail

If you are a Mopar guy at all, you know you are looking at one of the last "rare" finds around. This is the car in the barn you always hear about after someone else bought it. Well, here is your chance!!! I purchased this car from a storage lot about 10 years ago with the intention of building it for my wife, but opened a business of my own about the same time. Consequently I never got around to doing anything with it, and we are now moving so... liquidation time. I have done some research, and as far as I can tell there were only about 10 triple black 1971 GTX's equipped as this one was built, and my guess is that this is most likely the last one out there. As you can see in the pictures it is about as complete as you could hope to find one of these (if you ever find one). It is a double fender tag car with a 440, air conditioning, rally dash, tuff wheel, 8 3/4" rear and numerous other goodies as you can see. Probably the one of the most significant and ultra rare options of all is the existence of fully functional rear window louvers. As you can see in the pictures they still come off and lock back in place just as they did in 1971. As rare as it is, the car is not without it's issues as would be expected. Some of those issues include rust through on the windshield pillars, the roof line above both doors, trunk floor, and to differing degrees floor pans. There is apparent old blowout damage to the drivers side rear outer quarter panel at the wheel well, and some rust through at the passengers side lower front quarter and lower rear of both doors. I had removed the spark plugs and filled each cylinder with Marvel Mystery oil and let it sit like that for several weeks, but the motor still does not turn over. I also never got around to getting the title work done, so you will receive a "Bill of Sale" not a title. Despite these issues, just noting how complete the car is certainly makes it a serious candidate for a full boogie restoration no doubt. The second car pictured is a 1972 Sport Satellite which will be included if you exercise the "buy it now" option. If it goes into bidding, you can make me an offer for the Satellite if you are the lucky winning bidder. The Satellite does have a clear title and is reasonably sound. Please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have and I will answer them as quickly as possible and to the best of my ability, and if you have less than 10 feedbacks please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. As would be anticipated, the car (or cars) are being sold as is with absolutely no warranty of any type either express or implied and there is no assurance of marketability or usefulness for your intended purpose. All sales are final and irrevocable. A $1000.00 deposit must be made within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment and pick up of the car (cars) must be accomplished within seven days of auction end. ****** Please check my feedback and bid with confidence!!! As always, Good Luck and happy bidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *******
