Vehicle Detail
here is your chance to own a great classic mustang fastback 2+2 with Original engine and transmission and only 64 k miles. These cars are very sought after and getting harder to find. This car is very solid and was restored 4 years ago with a rebuilt 289 high performance motor and a automatic C 4 transmission. The car had a lot of work done to it. New quarter panels , New trunk, Floor pans The car is solid and rust free. The hood , Trunk lid doors are all original and again very solid . The car was originally highland green and was repainted in black. The paint job was average at best. The car needs to be blocked and have the doors adjusted and have it repainted. I didn't want to do the paint because I thought maybe the new owner would want to bring it back to the original color or make it a Resto Mod .The chrome on the car is in excellent condition except rear bumper which I am including a new chrome bumper. The Interior is almost complete. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks. Carpets are like new. The owner wanted larger seats and put seats from a 71 mustang in and they need to be redone, The rear seat is in excellent condition and all original it also folds down . The rear side panels are in excellent condition and the side vents are functional. I have the original seats which are in excellent condition but need the bottoms to be recovered. The car needs a new headliner which is very inexpensive, I have a new cluster for the odometer the original one has the chrome peeling off the plastic. I also will include new door sill plates that I bought. I would say this car is 80 % complete the motor and transmission were completely rebuilt 4 years ago and less than 2 k miles. The car has a ton of power and drives excellent. It holds the road very well , suspension is new and tight. Inside the engine bay you will see its very solid again no rust and the shock towers are like new. The car still has the original vin number on the left front fender. I took pictures of the trunk so you can see its very solid with no rust. The under carriage showing the solid floors and rust free frame. I bought the car from a bank that i deal with in wi . The owner had defaulted on his loan so they took it back. He had a very large loan on this car. So I have seen a a few cars recently sell here on Ebay. One with no title rusted body No motor or trans needed complete restoration and it sold for $ 5300. Then others with just a body asking for 15 k . I will price this car fair and someone will get a awesome 68 fastback and with a little love they can have a perfect car. All the hard work has been done . Don't pass this opportunity to own one of the most Iconic muscle cars today . I will end the auction if I get a great offer. You can fly in and drive it home or I can help arrange transport to your door. Please call me at 954-464-3515 with any questions you have. I took the time to decode the vin tag inside the drivers door. The car has the 63 a number which is a fastback. Its also a 2+2 , Original color was Highland green, It was originally shipped to Milwaukee wi, It has the 289 engine and C4 auto trans with a 273 Rear end. What comes with the car. I have a New rear bumper , Original front seats , New dash cluster, and new door sill plates Car has power steering , No ac and no power brakes. Tires and brakes have less than 2 k miles on them. On Jun-25-13 at 20:32:17 PDT, seller added the following information: To all bidders I have received many calls asking to end the auction I am letting it run out to be fair . High bidder wins please have funds available someone is going to steal this car ... Steve
