Vehicle Detail

Thanks for looking..... 2006 PT Cruiser Touring Edition 3A4FY48B66T263048 This Auction is for a well maintained 2006 PT Cruiser Touring Edition. Inspection is good until 05 of 2014. Very good condition, very clean. 81,000 miles. This was our delivery vehicle and unfortunately we need something bigger. This car has 4 brand NEW GOODYEAR tires, NEW brakes, NEW battery, NEW spark plugs, NEW wires, NEW Intake sensor, NEW Cam Position Sensor, and NEW Coil Packs. Aftermarket sensors have a notoriously dubious reputation for reliability, so ALL PARTS are genuine Chrysler replacement parts procured from the local dealer. They cost only a little bit more, but I assure you, they are worth it. New Custom Made Floor Mats to match the exterior with an extra drivers mat for bad weather! The company decals can be left alone, or easily removed as they are vinyl decals. This car has had a complete tune up, and all the potentially troubling sensors were replaced as part of our regular preventative maintenance plan. This was done before we decided to upgrade, and sell old “Petunia”. Our loss is your gain as this PT Cruiser is ready for many years of trouble free service. Mechanically, you will not find a better 80K mile PT Cruiser. Of course all of the filters and oil has been recently changed. All of this work was done within the last 100 miles. The Oil was always, and currently is "Mobil 1" Brand 100% synthetic. A/C Works, and blows ice cold. No "Funny" smells. The Heater of course works equally well. Cosmetically, there are a few scratches here and there, one small burn hole in the rear seat (Annoying, but not too bad) from someone who was not supposed to smoke in our car, and there is a small ripple where the driver door meets the fender. This does not affect the operation of the door. I have often wondered, but unfortunately I can offer no insight as to how it could have gotten there, or even what could have caused odd damage like that. In any event, we bought this car with 8,000 miles, and that little dingle was there when we got it. It would have cost us 350 dollars to repair, but we never got around to it. The car was a delivery vehicle, and since the current overall appearance of this car was and is excellent, it was never an issue for us. If it bugs you, I completely understand, but it'll be cheap to fix. What is the value of this car? We did a passel of research, and this is what we got: 2006 PT Cruiser Touring Edition Fair condition (To be more than fair) 81,000 miles According to Motor Trend, Average Dealer Sale price is $8,700.00 With cosmetic damage, my guess would be a downgrade to about $8,000.00 even. I think that's a bit high......... According to Kelly Blue Book: Private Party Sale = $6,065.00 Trade In = $4,600.00 I think that's too low.............. According to Edmunds: Used True Market Value (TMV) $7,356.00...Honestly, I really don't know what this means, it's the same figure as dealer retail. Dealer Retail = $6356.00, Private Party Sale = $5186.00 I think that's about right. Also, to be fair, we based this on "Good" and "Average" condition, not "Excellent". This car is better than good, but can't be called excellent either with the fender/door crease. PLEASE NOTE: Blue Book values do not take into account the extra mechanical attention, like a years worth of inspection, brand NEW tires, and the complete tune up with all NEW electronic sensors. This work alone is worth over $1,150.00! Be that as it may,.....We figure the fender issue, and all the extra NEW parts, plus the complete tune up work/NEW tires etc., cancel each other out, but still we're going to start bidding at $4900.00. No reserve. This is a great car. It looks good, and it will serve you faithfully for many years. The decals can be left alone, or easily removed as they are vinyl decals. Good luck bidding, and thanks for looking. ****BIDDERS NOTE**** Please do not bid on this car if you are not serious, it really screws things up for everyone. You may not realize the full consequences of Non-Paying, but if you bid without the intention to pay, and someone outbids you, you are cheating that person out of the difference. If you DO win the auction and don't pay, it wastes our time, and again, cheats a legitimate bidder from winning a good car. So please, do not bid unless you have the intention and the cash money. Winning bidder will be required to send a $250.00 deposit within 4 days of auctions end. Thanks again for looking. On Jun-20-13 at 11:16:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Pictures added today.......To answer questions that might be raised from them: We have the headrests, they are fine, I just prefer to drive without them.....The hand truck is not included, and the seats fold up. The picture of the rear hatch open shows the car in it's delivery configuration with the rear shelf in position "2" so the rear storage area is completely flat. The crease in the door is shown, but the overall appearance of the car is excellent! Again, the decals are vinyl and remove easily. Decals replicate General Patton's WWII Western Task Force "WTF" Command Car from Sicily and North Africa. The Good Year Tires and full moon chrome hubcaps are brand new.
