Vehicle Detail
I'm the second owner of this car. Purchased her when she was 24K miles and wish I could have taken the car to 200K miles and beyond. Did not want to sell as I love the car, the red color and she is completely loaded with every feature offered: power windows and doors, sunroof, dual exhaust, leather interior, Bose stereo system. Besides being supercharged engine, my favorite feature is the Head Up display.....its like you are a pilot flying a plane! So cool. Check out the pic. Unfortunately the transmission is something I can't fix on my own and can't afford to put in a couple of grand to fix right now. I think the car is worth fixing to the right buyer. Drives in first and second gear and in reverse. The "check engine" light came on right after the transmission quit...perhaps related. All four tires are practically new. AC works well. Heated drivers seat is perfect for cold winter. Interior is in great shape. The motor for the rear drivers side window failed. The car is being sold as is and buyer would have to arrange for pick-up. On Jun-15-13 at 20:00:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Adding additional pictures and a reply to a question that I received in case anyone has a similar question:Dear ny-girl, Is the under cariage rusty, or is there any rust spots on the body? Does the engine run very good? Any issues, mis-fires? I read the entire ad, but is there any mechanical issues that need attention (besides the tranny) such as brakes, air conditioning/heat, or any oil leaks coming from the engine or dripping underneath? Thanks for your time. - p7 Dear p7, I'm not sure about the undercarriage...I will check this morning. There is a rust spot by the fuel door where the paint was chipped off and I didn't get to prime it or use the touch up paint. Over the rear drivers side wheel, the wheel well scraped years ago. I primed it to limit rust and it worked. Never got around to touch it up. Crack in the front bumper. will send you pictures with close ups. Otherwise not bad for her age and mileage. Engine runs fine, no misfires. Supercharge works too. Prior to transmission issue, you could put our foot on the gas and the car would take off using the turbo. No oil leaks. Slow leak in power steering. I would just top it off and it would work fine. Traction Control Light is on and ABS light is on. ABS brakes do work, so I think there may be an issue with the sensor or perhaps related to the TCS. Side view power mirror on passenger side is loose. It does still work. I have a replacement mirror (NIB) that i will include with purchase if it ever fails. I have the official GM shop manual for this model car which can been very helpful in DIY repairs. It is a volume set of three books. I will include the books with purchase ($100 retail value) AC works well. I had that fixed by GM two years ago. Heat works well too. Brakes are fine. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for looking! - ny-girl Hi p7,Checked under the car. The undercarriage looks good. There is some rust along the edges under the doors.- ny-girl
