Vehicle Detail
1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible 389 V8 4 BL A "True Survivor" All original, very well preserved & maintained. "A True Survivor." There aren't many Bonneville Convertibles on the market that are in the amazing condition this car is in! Most have been restored or need restoration. This one is in. Excellent Original, unmollested condition. Just the way Pontiac built it 50 years ago. And everything on this beauty is in perfect working condition! Well documented history since new including copies of titles & ownership, all service & maintenance receipts. Original owners manual, warranty booklet, "Protect-o-Plate" & sales brochures. I recently acquired this fine Convertible from the 3rd owner in Charleston, SC. who purchased it from the second owner & family member of the original owner who lived in NC where it was sold new. The gentleman I purchased it from has owned it since 1997 & sold it only because he doesn't drive any longer due to his age. He drove it just over 2,000 miles in the 15 years he owned it. The car has always been garage kept which is very evident from it's well preserved, unrestored & very nice condition. Condition: Overall I would rate this car as a very straight & solid car that functions just as it did when it was new! A Best Of Show Winner! The paint has a nice shine ( repainted 15 years ago ), with only signs of normal wear. Minor scratches & a few minor door dings none of which require repair. There is no rust on the car inside or out including the undercarriage. There is no body filler or Bondo anywhere on the car. It is very straight & solid. The interior is all original & in very nice condition showing wear only on the drivers seat where the leather is slightly worn. The stitching is torn in one section of the front seat which can be seen in the photos & one sign of wear on the carpet where the driver's left foot would rest. The convertible top is in very good condition with no rips or torn stitching. The 389 V8 performs flawlessly & starts with the first turn of the key. The mufflers were replaced in 2008 with new stainless steel mufflers & the dual exhaust is solid & rust free. The power top goes up & down effortlessly just as the power antenna does. The original A/M radio still works just like new. All glass, chrome & stainless trim is in excellent condition. The tires have plenty of tread remaining & look very good with no dry rot. The shocks were replaced with correct Replacment shocks at the same time the mufflers were replaced. Receipts included for all work performed on this car since new. It runs & drives down the Hwy. at 80 MPH just as well as it did when new & I wouldn't hesitate driving it on a long trip. Options: This is a very well optioned car & the really good news is, everything on this car works just as it did the day it was sold new! Powered by a 389 V8 with 4 barrel carb.303 horsepower. Dual exhaust, A/M radio, tilt steering wheel, power steering, power brakes, Air Conditioning, Power Convertible Top, Power Antenna & detachable fender skirts. This is what I would consider a very well preserved "Survivor" in it's original unrestored beauty! This classic Bonneville is a true joy to drive & will most certainly draw a crowd wherever it goes! The car is located in Georgia, just 15 miles from Savannah & 35 miles from Hilton Head, SC. This car is for sale locally. Asking price is $17,900.00 eBay Buy It Now Price: $15,900.00 I am re-listing this on eBay with a lowered price & lowered reserve. * PLEASE NOTE * I'm sorry to have to even mention this but unfortunately there are some people that do not understand eBay policy regarding bidding. Only bid if you are prepared to pay for the car! Winning the auction is a commitment to purchase. It doesn't mean you have a week or two to decide if it's what you really want or to get permission from your spouse. The car is available for inspection at any time prior to the auction ending. When the auction ends & the reserve met the winning bidder will own the car & have 7 days to complete the transaction. I have lowered the reserve & Buy it now price. Someone will get a fantastic buy on this 1963 Bonneville Convertible. It is priced well below the others I've seen on eBay & is in excellent condition. Also this car has air condition & most of the others I've seen do not have A/C. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or to make an offer. If we reach an agreement I will lower the buy it now price & sell it. Call Steve for more details or with any questions at 843-321-2802 or Email me: swingram385@yahoo.com
