Vehicle Detail

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. New bike is here- I want the RS gone. This is a well-equipped and totally sorted RS. It has 28,000 miles and it’s still tight. It had the ECU swap at the time of delivery and the rear seal has been done. It’s on a set of Michelin PR3s with around 4000 miles on them. All service has been performed by dealers and the oil has been changed regularly. It has ABS, heated grips, and cruise like they all do. This thread: http://www.i-bmw.com/showthread.php?t=8132&highlight=electrical+installation describes some of the kit. The bike is for sale with the V1, Valentine remote, Zumo (with XM) and Tesseract amp (now under the seat). This electrical suite was designed and installed to work together seamlessly and it would be crazy to break it up. Additional equipment includes a Russell Sport Seat in leather (fits a 200# ass) with rain cover. There’s the Bagster tank cover and tankbag with raincover. OHLINs of course. It has radiator and oil cooler screens from the Pirate, the fuse block, PIAAs on an Autoswitch, a strobing BRAKE! brakelight, dual Gerbing permanent controllers, a Stebel horn, Ztechnik dark short screen, bright instrument bezels, sidestand foot enlarger, a Pyramid CF hugger, and a new battery. A quick sum of this added equipment goes north of $4800. I absolutely do not want to part out this equipment. If you don’t want it all then buy the bike and sell the stuff yourself – nice way to make the bike cheaper by $1000 I’d bet. Actually, though, you should want all that stuff and you’ll have a hard time finding it all so nicely installed. Shortcomings: The panels are scratched up at the bottom from a number of tipovers. I’ve hit them with touchup and they look…touched up. You could easily have the plastic made perfect again, but let’s face it…it’s going to tip over on you too. I’d wait. The footbrake lever needs replacing. There’s really nothing else – the bike is nominal. Gas it up and head for Key West or your local twisties – it does both.
