I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the listing carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition. The Cartier offers a variety of features not found in lesser trimmed Town Cars. Additionally, the 1997 model year was the final year of the second generation of the Town Car. I buy and sell a dozen or so Town Cars each year and this specific Town Car is among the nicest I've had. I would rate the exterior of this Lincoln to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this Town Car is gorgeous and the color combination is simply stunning. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few small scuffs, scratches and marks associated with use. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this Town Car. The silver finish shines nicely from front to back. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The chrome accents also show very well. The alloy wheels shine nicely and are wrapped in good rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Town Car Cartier to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The red interior looks amazing against the silver exterior and is complimented by uncommon red wood interior trim. The door panels are clean and tight. The switch panels are a little loose...which is a common thing as these vehicles age. The carpets are full, thick and show well throughout the interior. The Cartier embroidered seats also show well and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors are all working properly. Both front seats are heated, too. The stereo is the original JBL premium sound which powers up and works properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and works properly. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too! There are steering wheel controls for the audio and climate control systems. There are rear vanity mirrors which are also specific to the Cartier Edition. The trunk is spacious and clean. This Town Car comes with a full set of floor mats as well as a remote to the factory keyless entry system. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Town Car. Mechanically, this Town Car appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. This is basically an indestructible engine/trans combination as it is used in Police Cars, Taxi's and Town Car Limo's. This engine/trans is known to go 500k miles with just basic service. I've personally owned several Town Cars with mileage in excess of 300k that ran prefectly. As for this specific Lincoln, it only has 103k miles so she is just barely broken in. The suspension and steering feel nice and tight. The air suspension works properly with no issues. The brakes stop this sedan with no problems. This Lincoln has excellent road manners. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've personally put the last 1,000 miles on this Town Car with absolutely nothing bad to say. It drives like a dream. On a recent trip to NY and back, I averaged 27.2 MPG for the trip...these cars are made for highway cruising. Please bid with confidence. This is a remarkable example of a very desirable Town Car. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the listing carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition. The Cartier offers a variety of features not found in lesser trimmed Town Cars. Additionally, the 1997 model year was the final year of the second generation of the Town Car. I buy and sell a dozen or so Town Cars each year and this specific Town Car is among the nicest I've had. I would rate the exterior of this Lincoln to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this Town Car is gorgeous and the color combination is simply stunning. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few small scuffs, scratches and marks associated with use. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this Town Car. The silver finish shines nicely from front to back. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The chrome accents also show very well. The alloy wheels shine nicely and are wrapped in good rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this Town Car Cartier to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The red interior looks amazing against the silver exterior and is complimented by uncommon red wood interior trim. The door panels are clean and tight. The switch panels are a little loose...which is a common thing as these vehicles age. The carpets are full, thick and show well throughout the interior. The Cartier embroidered seats also show well and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors are all working properly. Both front seats are heated, too. The stereo is the original JBL premium sound which powers up and works properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and works properly. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too! There are steering wheel controls for the audio and climate control systems. There are rear vanity mirrors which are also specific to the Cartier Edition. The trunk is spacious and clean. This Town Car comes with a full set of floor mats as well as a remote to the factory keyless entry system. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Town Car.
Mechanically, this Town Car appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. This is basically an indestructible engine/trans combination as it is used in Police Cars, Taxi's and Town Car Limo's. This engine/trans is known to go 500k miles with just basic service. I've personally owned several Town Cars with mileage in excess of 300k that ran prefectly. As for this specific Lincoln, it only has 103k miles so she is just barely broken in. The suspension and steering feel nice and tight. The air suspension works properly with no issues. The brakes stop this sedan with no problems. This Lincoln has excellent road manners. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've personally put the last 1,000 miles on this Town Car with absolutely nothing bad to say. It drives like a dream. On a recent trip to NY and back, I averaged 27.2 MPG for the trip...these cars are made for highway cruising. Please bid with confidence. This is a remarkable example of a very desirable Town Car. Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
