I am wanting to get rid of it as well, that is sitting in my neighbors driveway. Also if anyone is interested, he is selling a Winnebago that is pretty nice, it has very low miles and he says since his wife has past away that he has no desire for camping anymore and would like to sell it. I told him I might list that for him later that we will see what the listing fee's are first. Up for auction is a Hyundai Tribune. I will tell you what I know about it, but to be honest I do not know much about cars, so I am telling you what I know and asked my ex-husband about it since he is a mechanic. I also got pictures of any flaws that ai could see, so that you can also see. I just want to get rid of it and I am sure my neighbor would like to see his driveway again. The auto report shows it did have an accident or was vandalized in 2001 and that it did have a loan or lien against it at one time. Indiana will not switch titles if there are any loans or liens and I just titled it in my name and so that means there is none it must of been on a previous owner because the title is free and clear. The car also shows it has had 3 owners in its lifetime. The GOOD: Up for sale is a nice 1997 Hyundai Tiburon with miles of 166,838. Shiny Bright Cherry Red with gray interior, surround sound system with detachable face and remote control CD player Sony, tilt. The tread on the tires looks good, but two tires are flat and may need a plug, it has been sitting in the same spot for awhile. The car starts every-time, even after I have not tried to start it for months, the Hyundai still turns over and starts right up. It looks as though it has never been in a wreck, body is pretty descent with few usual tiny dings. Clean title I just put it In my name and it is a clear clean title. There is a doughnut tire in the back as well as a jack kit. THE BAD: The seats look pretty good except the drivers side, where it looks to have a chunk out of the foam, see pic. A seat cover could probably cover that. The rotors look rusty, and I have a box of new ones to go with the car. There is a piece of plastic molding in the drivers door around the handle that is missing, see this pic, but does not stop anything from opening. The back light on the sport fin hangs and looks like it had duct tape on. When I open the door the back light comes on showing the light does work. The car has been sitting for awhile and is a little dusty inside, nothing gross or growing, but it could use a good cleaning. THE UGLY The car drives forward, but does not have reverse. When I asked my ex to look at that, he just said that always means one of two things, either the transmission is going out or there is a gear shift out. My daughter wanted it because she was going to get her license soon but he claimed he did not have time to work on it since he works on car all day all ready. Now she has a car for herself and this one needs to go. When I start it up it immediately starts every time the lights that come on the dash are the brake, airbag, and engine light. I do not know much about the lights, because I had a new truck that lights that lights came on after every oil change and they would stay on for about the next 500 miles, then go off on its own every time. Someone told me to ask the business that changes my oil to reset it afterward the oil change and, after they resat it, the lights would still continue until around the 500 miles of driving. Then that person said it might be an electrical issue. I do not know, I never had any other problems with the truck other than that, and that truck still sold fast. So I do not now much about the lights on the dash other then to have the vehicle hooked up to a machine to see if an problems to see if any problems can be found that way. They never found anything with my truck, so I really do not know with the car. I AM SELLING THE CAR AS IS. Maybe someone can use it for parts, maybe a mechanic can buy it and will know how to do the reverse. I am starting it out at 100.00 and I am sure the metal alone is worth that. You will be responsible for moving it out. To the highest bidder of the auction, if you are wanting it for the metal, I also have a speed boat you that I am trying to get rid of and you can have it. My mom had so many cars, trucks, and boats on her property, she would just purchase items and then let it sit. The boat will be hard to get out. The boat is on the side of the property that had some woods. I cleared out most of the trees, but there are still some small ones around it, and there is a trail that it can be dragged through, I want to clear all this out soon so I can plant flowers all around. The boat is not useable it has a big motor, but it has a small tree growing through the middle half the size of my wrist. I was offered 300.00 for it before the guy said it could be repaired, but that was the year my mom was trying to hang in there and I did not want to sell any of her stuff or do anything with the stuff when I also had two brothers that had a say so. They said they did not want anything after she passed away. So I waited until I transferred stuff in my name. Now I am clearing things out from her houses. Another house has a cherry picker and welding stuff, I know I cant ship that stuff but look for future auctions that are pick-up only. The large trailer that the boat is on stays and so does the old utility trailer.
