I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the listing BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT sedan with the indestructible 3.8L V6 engine. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Prix to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. It is finished in dark blue which is a great color on these vehicles. The exterior does show a noticeable amount of wear...nothing terrible for an older car but there are a few things you should know about. The windshield has a crack and will most likely need replaced to pass most state inspections. There is a medium sized dent on each side of the car at the doors. Additionally, there are some scratches on the left rear door as well as usual scuff marks on the bumpers, ect. Overall, this car is presentable for its age. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber. Please take your time and review each of the photos carefully as this car does have cosmetic issues. I would rate the interior of this Grand Prix to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for an older vehicle. The seats also show well and are comfortable. The dash is clean and not cracked. The headliner shows age at the back but is clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be in proper working condition. The stereo is original and sounds great. The display comes and goes but the system always works. The fan for the climate control only works on "high"...which means it will need a new resistor (pretty cheap...like $30 on eBay). It offers dual temperature controls, too. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Pontiac appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.8L V6 is among the most reliable engines GM has ever used. It was an older AMC design that got put into production during the 1980's when GM needed a bog V6 and realized that they already had one. Since then, the 3.8L has been a staple engine that has been used by GM for 20years in most of their full sized FWD cars and vans. I would buy anything with a 3800 engine... This one starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels good for an older vehicle. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Pontiac with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature and makes good power. The low coolant light stays on but appears to be just a sensor malfunction. I checked the cooland level and it was full. Out on the highway, she has good road manners. She drives nice and straight with no complaints. If you don't mind a little bit of "ugly", you can have yourself a good running car at a nice price. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchases. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the listing BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT sedan with the indestructible 3.8L V6 engine. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Prix to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. It is finished in dark blue which is a great color on these vehicles. The exterior does show a noticeable amount of wear...nothing terrible for an older car but there are a few things you should know about. The windshield has a crack and will most likely need replaced to pass most state inspections. There is a medium sized dent on each side of the car at the doors. Additionally, there are some scratches on the left rear door as well as usual scuff marks on the bumpers, ect. Overall, this car is presentable for its age. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber. Please take your time and review each of the photos carefully as this car does have cosmetic issues.
I would rate the interior of this Grand Prix to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for an older vehicle. The seats also show well and are comfortable. The dash is clean and not cracked. The headliner shows age at the back but is clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be in proper working condition. The stereo is original and sounds great. The display comes and goes but the system always works. The fan for the climate control only works on "high"...which means it will need a new resistor (pretty cheap...like $30 on eBay). It offers dual temperature controls, too. The air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The trunk is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this Pontiac appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.8L V6 is among the most reliable engines GM has ever used. It was an older AMC design that got put into production during the 1980's when GM needed a bog V6 and realized that they already had one. Since then, the 3.8L has been a staple engine that has been used by GM for 20years in most of their full sized FWD cars and vans. I would buy anything with a 3800 engine... This one starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels good for an older vehicle. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Pontiac with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature and makes good power. The low coolant light stays on but appears to be just a sensor malfunction. I checked the cooland level and it was full. Out on the highway, she has good road manners. She drives nice and straight with no complaints. If you don't mind a little bit of "ugly", you can have yourself a good running car at a nice price. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
