Vehicle Detail

This one ton GMC plow truck has been a part of our landscape fleet for 4 years. We purchased it at auction in 2009 with around 120,000 miles and one previous owner. It was used as a spare truck for the 2012 season and this year I sold the company. Over the years we have performed extensive work on this vehicle to keep it in working condition. The 4 wheel drive hi and lo work appropriately. The axles have 4.10 gears. The engine and transmission are original and run well. There are several seeps underneath, but nothing that leaks in the ground. This truck starts on the first crank when cold. When its hot it cranks for a couple of seconds and fires right up. My mechanic indicated that there is a small leak down issue on the throttlebody that is common in this vintage 454. The plow is a Western unimount that was put on this truck when we purchased it. The cutting blade has been replaced with a synthetic blade approved for use on porous pavers. It also works on normal asphalt and concrete. The plow works as it should with one exception. The left and right directional control is reversed. This is a solenoid issue that can be corrected. We replaced the pump three years ago.The roll on bedliner was installed by our staff to cover surface rust when the bed was installed. It is an amateur job (that was ususally covered by irrigation parts). We no longer have the keys to the truck box in the bed. These can be ordered through the manufacturer. The Hankook tires have about 1/2 tread and work well for plowing. The wheels are newer KMC XD series that look great on the truck. The right rear bumper has been pushed in to the rear fender slightly. ITEMS WORTH NOTING The passenger side door inside handle is broken. The driver side door door lock works with the key but not with the key fob. The bed is off of another truck and was originally painted red. We had the entire truck sprayed when we purchased it. The hood is off another truck and was originally blue. It was replaced because the hood was dented when we purchased the vehicle. The carpet has been removed from the front of the truck and replaced with husky liners. The CD player does not work. The paint job is flaking in places and is scratched where the company logos were removed. I encourage you to come take a look at this truck and take a test drive prior to purchasing the vehicle. This is a solid work truck that looks good enough to carry company logos but without having to make a bank payment every month.
