Don't forget this is a holiday weekend, please factor that into your bidding plans, please!! Here's a super fun car! Somebody spent a LOT of time and money making it stand out from the rest of the 3 series coupes! As you can see it has a 2 tone paintjob. No perfect but well done. Doorjambs are painted properly. A few flaws (see below) but overall an easy 8 out of 10 on the exterior. Wetsand the body further and touchup a couple spots and it will be an immediate 9 out of 10! No visible rust to be found anywhere. Solid car. Not tacky. Be different! Imagine the ridiculous gas mileage you will get in this car!! What's really cool, for it's age, it has plenty of updated appearances and upgrades! Front lower ground effect looks to be from a newer "Sport" version 3 series car. Driving lights are blank but can easily be filled from a donor car or bought off Ebay. Headlight lenses are excellentt as if they were new. Grills painted nicely. Barely a handful of rockchips to be found with no damages or cracks on the front (or rear) bumper covers. Rear Fuzion tires are much newer than the fronts. Fronts sport at least 60% tread left and ALL ride on factory updated 17" BMW rims with little or no scratches/scuffs. All are smooth and vibration free at any speeds. These rims and tires would easily cost a $800-1000 all day to purchase. You get them WITH the car for NO RESERVE!! If you look closely, you will notice the nearly new front (and rear) brake rotors and pads. Easily another $500 worth of product and labor. Hood and roof look excellent as if it were factory silver. This car used to be white!! Sunroof operates perfectly as it should. Above you can see the first larger flawed area: the paint bubbles. It's not busted open but a bit of an eyesore. A bodyshop can easily match this paint for future touchups. Note the updated tailights. Nice but while not junky add-ons. Look even closer and you will see the newer exhaust. It is new from front to back: converter, muffler, everything. Another $500+ worth there! Not seen is the chrome exhaust tip I threw in with the car sale. It NEEDS one bad! Not the big coffee can looking tip either. Just a simple chrome accent. Rear bumper cover looks super! Trunk shows no signs of (typical) rusting on the face or under the lip. Below is the popped paint bubble. More tiny than my fingertip. Easy touchup. Interior looks great! Especially for it's age and miles. Looks HALF of that! But there is wear but the upgrades make up for it and then some!! Door panels are missing the simple doorlatch trim. Easy to replace. Driver's bolster has minimal wear. Shifter know and steering wheel look great. Still black leather wrapped. Above you can see no lights on during run and ALL the dummy lights illuminate during startup. Altho...the "SRS" light is suspect. Very dim so I would expect either covered up with tape or faulty. NO RESERVE, remember?? High end Pioneer fold down detachable face CD player is stellar!! Comes with a steering wheel remote and case. Along with some nice aftermarket 3-1/2" door speakers. The car USED to have a mild system in it. But it's long gone...ALTHO...the trunk STILL houses the amplifier wiring!! As a former installer/retail seller of car audio...the wiring/labor alone is about $300. Plus about $500 for the CD player and speakers including installation. You get it all for NO RESERVE!! As far as I can tell, all the power items work as they should: COLD AIR CONDITIONING, power locks, power windows, cruise, dual climate control, moonroof, heated seating, etc. Above the tool kit seems to be intact along with the jack. Sorry no spare. Recent Duralast battery is strong and starts the car effortlessly. Engine compartment is nice and clean. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No overheating. Beautiful thing about this 1.8 liter four cylinder is, it's no powerhouse. Therefore it's NOT hard on parts or the car no matter how you drive it. The 318 has a great look to it but can barely get out of it's own way!! Perfect for the teen driver who demands BMW reliability. AKA: cheap insurance in a slow car that looks fast. The car fires right up and runs smoothly with a little growl from the newer exhaust. Oil is clean. No engine noises. Fluids are clean. Altho the clutch seems to be a stiffer aftermarket version, it grabs nicely. Almost TOO nice as there may be a little hydraulic bleeding or adjustment needed. The transmission engages every gear properly and without effort but the clutch pedal is a little too low to the floor for my tastes. Don't misunderstand tho, no slipping. No grinding. No issues. The car drives nice and straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. Nice tight rattle-free suspension. No popping. No squeaks. Even the low profile tires offer a decent ride. You honestly will think this car is much younger than it is! I've driven this car for about 100 miles to ensure it's reliability. No tricks here. No worries. Get in and go!
