I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1991 Toyota Celica GT convertible. As you can see, this car is in decent condition for an older vehicle. The paint shines nicely and looks good. The finish looks blue in the photos, it definitely looks much more purple in person. It is definitely not factory Toyota paint. I suspect it is supposed to be an Indigo or something that changes from blue to purple depending on the light...but my camera makes it look blue...expect some purple, too. The finish shows well. There is no noteworthy damage to the exterior and I did not see any rust on the body. One of the hinges to the trunk lid is broken so the trunk doesn't sit quite right and is difficult to open and close. All of the glass and lenese appear to be intact. The top looks older but it is in decent condition and does not appear to leak. The fourth wheel to the set is in the trunk with a flat tire on it. The front two tires look good. The rear two will need replaced. I would rate the interior of this Celica to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The deeply bolstered seats are comfortable and show very well. The door panels show well for their age. The carpets show a few stains but are in decent shape for the miles. For the windows...the right rear does not go up or down. The right front goes up and down with the right switch only. The left two windows operate properly. The power top goes up and down easily. The radio is aftermarket. It powers up but I think it's on some auxillary setting and no sound comes out. I didn't have time to mess with it. Mechanically, this Celica appears to run well. The 2.2L engine starts with a jump (will maybe need a battery) and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension is worn and showing its age. The steering is loose. A general front end job (bushings, tie rod ends, ect.) is definitely in order. The car is drivable but I wouldn't take it on a long trip with the front end feeling all loose like it does now. The brakes stop this car with no issues. The engine makes good power and is known to be extremely reliable. It keeps perfect temperature at all times. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth and precise. This would make a fun summer car that gets great fuel economy. We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle at retail price from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Please understand that each vehicle we sell is being sold exactly as we received it (unless otherwise noted in the written description). We always disclose any known faults with the vehicle in our description. However, the description we provide is based solely on our observations of the vehicle during our road test. These vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
Please consider this when you decide if buying from us is something you feel comfortable with. We try to eliminate as much risk as possible for our buyers but cannot offer reconditioned, warrantied vehicles for sale with No Reserve. We are happy to answer any questions from prospective buyers regarding our business or specific vehicles listed for sale and aim to make buying from us as trouble free as possible.
Bidding:
Please read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible in addition to posting several dozen photos of each unit. If you have any questions or concerns that have not been addressed within our listing, feel free to send us an email so that we may address your specific question before placing your bid. Please wait to place your bid until you are completely comfortable with what you're bidding on.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, you assert that you have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully exercised their ability to complete any diligence or any any questions needed PRIOR to placing their bid.
In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
