For sale is my 1988 BMW 325ix – 2 door – 5 speed manual – All Wheel Drive !!! NO RESERVE !!! Update listing! Basics – This car is one of the best examples of a 25 year old car that was actually used and not babied. Well babied in the right way, properly service, kept clean, and driven in the spirited way that BMW intentionally designed. Best example of a late 80’s BMW because of 1 major thing, RUST! This car is virtually rust free!!!!!! 2 door coupe – 5 speed transmission – All wheel drive – Power mirrors, windows, sun-roof, locks with leather Recaro seats, Power steering, ABS, NOW with a Blaupunkt CD player, The Good – Almost NO RUST – I counted 6 spots of rust the size of a half dollar coin I have recently invested about $1000 of new parts Polished and waxed the paint Conditioned the leather Changed all the fluids, Coolant, Brake fluid, Both differentials, transfer case, and Transmission A LOT and I mean A LOT of new parts and service last year by the previous owner. I have a lot of photos of under carriage I have a lot of receipts of my own and service records from previous owner. Starts and runs VERY well every time - This car is my daily driver Tires are very new, about 80% of the tread left Brake pads very good, a lot of meat on pads and rotors Very clean paint, Very Bright red, Some hail damage on roof and trunk, spoiler is pealing, I would say the paint is a 10 in shine and a 7 to8 in condition. All panels original, all panels have same VIN badge which means this car has probably never been in a accident The NEW parts I installed recently are as follows: Clutch slave and master cylinders with new hose that connects the 2 – Badges for trunk, hood and all 4 wheels – New left hand door lock cylinder with 2 keys – Fuel tank sending unit – Air filter – Weather Tech floor mats – New cigarette lighter and socket – Muffler – Shift knob, badge, and boot – Blaupunkt CD Radio The important work done by previous owner: Shocks all around with new mounts all around – Spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor – Timing belt and accessory belts – Coolant hoses – thermostat – Throttle parts – Fuel pump – Idle air control valve - Service records going back to 2004 The Bad – LH door glass is slow going up Antenna mast make grinding noise when it reaches the top Burn hole on back seat, size of a dime Dash has a bunch of cracks CDL (Central Door Locking) does Not work – Car locks ok with key – Found actuators seized at $100 per door and trunk that is way too much money for me RH Rear axle seal seeping from rear differential Rear bumper has a small crack in it Both tail lights have small crack – But no water is getting in Hail damage on roof and trunk lid Trunk spoiler paint is very bad and pealing off Air conditioning does not work - 'Anti-Lock' light just came on may need wheels speed sensor and again too much money for a sensor right now - Brakes need new bypass valve so brakes are limited to 10% for first few seconds of running. It's about a 40$-50$ part I have more pictures than I can post so e-mail me if you want more.
