I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my ability. Please take the time to read this entire description including our Terms & Conditions at the bottom BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is an exceptional 1998 BMW 740iL for your consideration. The 7 series is the flagship of the BMW family and is one of the best all around luxury automobiles available. The 740 provides a blend of size, performance, comfort and reliability that is hard to match. They are extremely reliable and easy to maintain. I would rate the exterior of this BMW to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. If you follow my auctions, you will know that very few vehicles earn the "excellent" rating from me. As you can clearly see, this vehicle looks amazing and would easily pass for under 100k miles in every single aspect. Pride in ownership shows throughout this BMW. The only bad thing I can say about the exterior is that the windshield has a crack in it. Otherwise, the exterior is virtually flawless. The Arctic Silver Metallic finish shines like glass and contrasts beautifully against the professionally tinted windows for a great look. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. Please take your time to review each of the 85 high quality photographs closely. Please pay specific attention to the close up pictures of the front end. I couldn't even find a rock chip on the nose. The bumpers show no noticeable scuffs or rub marks either. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of matching Yokahama's with good tread all around. I would also rate the interior of this BMW to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The only bad thing I can say about the interior is that the cup holder will not close...which is better than most. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. Even the original rear foot rests are included! The dash is clean and shows well. The headliner is clean and tight. The vaneers show well throughout the cabin. The ash tray and storage compartment open and close properly in the center. The leather comfort seats are in excellent condition and are very comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and work properly. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof also work properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It offers independent temperature controls for the driver and passenger. The audio system is original and also appears to be working properly. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and a CD changer in the trunk. The luggage compartment is clean and spacious. The trunk opens and closes with proper assist. The factory remote security system is also working properly. Additionally, this BMW comes with a complete set of books as well as it's original $67,000 window sticker. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly with absolutely no chain noise. I didn't see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The front end is nice and tight. The suspension feels good all around. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this full sized BMW with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times and there are no warning lights on. Out on the road, she drives very well. The engine delivers smooth power on demand. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The ZF five speed automatic is one of my favorite transmissions available in a road going automobile. Under normal driving, it shifts seamlessly. When you need to put some "gone" between you and whatever is behind you, it is instantly up for the task. Downshifts are almost intuitive and upshifts are crisp and confident. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. Highway fuel economy is respectable for a vehicle like this. I typically see mid 20's on the highway personally. These automobiles are designed to cover a lot of road very quickly and comfortably. Cruising at 80mph is only turning the engine somewhere just over 2,000rpms which is basically sleeping for this engine. I could go on for days... These are excellent vehicles to begin with. This specific 740iL is a great example of what happens when a well designed vehicle is properly cared for. Anyone would be proud to drive this automobile. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is an exceptional 1998 BMW 740iL for your consideration. The 7 series is the flagship of the BMW family and is one of the best all around luxury automobiles available. The 740 provides a blend of size, performance, comfort and reliability that is hard to match. They are extremely reliable and easy to maintain. I would rate the exterior of this BMW to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. If you follow my auctions, you will know that very few vehicles earn the "excellent" rating from me. As you can clearly see, this vehicle looks amazing and would easily pass for under 100k miles in every single aspect. Pride in ownership shows throughout this BMW. The only bad thing I can say about the exterior is that the windshield has a crack in it. Otherwise, the exterior is virtually flawless. The Arctic Silver Metallic finish shines like glass and contrasts beautifully against the professionally tinted windows for a great look. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. Please take your time to review each of the 85 high quality photographs closely. Please pay specific attention to the close up pictures of the front end. I couldn't even find a rock chip on the nose. The bumpers show no noticeable scuffs or rub marks either. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of matching Yokahama's with good tread all around.
I would also rate the interior of this BMW to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The only bad thing I can say about the interior is that the cup holder will not close...which is better than most. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. Even the original rear foot rests are included! The dash is clean and shows well. The headliner is clean and tight. The vaneers show well throughout the cabin. The ash tray and storage compartment open and close properly in the center. The leather comfort seats are in excellent condition and are very comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and work properly. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof also work properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It offers independent temperature controls for the driver and passenger. The audio system is original and also appears to be working properly. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and a CD changer in the trunk. The luggage compartment is clean and spacious. The trunk opens and closes with proper assist. The factory remote security system is also working properly. Additionally, this BMW comes with a complete set of books as well as it's original $67,000 window sticker. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle.
Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly with absolutely no chain noise. I didn't see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The front end is nice and tight. The suspension feels good all around. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this full sized BMW with no issues. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times and there are no warning lights on. Out on the road, she drives very well. The engine delivers smooth power on demand. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The ZF five speed automatic is one of my favorite transmissions available in a road going automobile. Under normal driving, it shifts seamlessly. When you need to put some "gone" between you and whatever is behind you, it is instantly up for the task. Downshifts are almost intuitive and upshifts are crisp and confident. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and straight with no complaints. Highway fuel economy is respectable for a vehicle like this. I typically see mid 20's on the highway personally. These automobiles are designed to cover a lot of road very quickly and comfortably. Cruising at 80mph is only turning the engine somewhere just over 2,000rpms which is basically sleeping for this engine. I could go on for days... These are excellent vehicles to begin with. This specific 740iL is a great example of what happens when a well designed vehicle is properly cared for. Anyone would be proud to drive this automobile. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, the vehicle may be sold to another buyer. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay.
Payment:
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close.
Cash in person upon pick up is the preferred method of payment. There are other payment options for long distance buyers where paying in person is not possible. Paypal is NOT accepted for payment, nor do we have the ability to accept credit cards.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours; we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accommodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Vehicles paid with cash will be available immediately. If paid by any other method, the vehicle and title will be held until funds have been cleared by my bank.
All vehicles must be collected within 14 days of auction's end. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without a specific exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work (including temp tags) in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
