This was the last year of this body style, having been improved since its indroduction in the 60's. This particular Shadow will require a restoration, or could be enjoyed in its current condition. Unlike most Rolls Royce project cars that look wonderful, but don't neccesarily stop or go, this specimen runs very well. The engine is smooth, the transmission functions as designed, and it will stop on command. You will also find that the power windows are all functional, and the climate control works hot and cold. This is a vehicle that could use a cosmetic restoration. Again, it may suit you as a daily driver, however as the photos will demonstrate, the paint is not perfect. There is also some minor damage to the rear of the vehicle, requiring the boot lid be realligned as well as replacement of both tail light lenses. Also, the wood and leather will require restoration. It also has a partially new exhaust with the remaining sections showing repair. This results in a quiet exhaust. Under the vehicle, you will find a few areas that have rust, mainly in the passenger side floor. Also, there is some bubbling under the vinyl top. All sections are repairable. This vehicle's mileage is shown in Kilometers, and currently displays 38,200 km. Due to the fact that this is a European car, the state of Pennsylvania requires it to be sold as "mileage exempt." The true mileage is unknown. In closing, I would like to say that this is a running and driving project car.
