Vehicle Detail

Awesome project car. Clear Arizona title. This car was originally purchased 7 months ago for $8500.00 with the intent to do @ $90,000.00 rotisserie restoration. The vehicle already had the 9 inch rear end, rear wheel wells tubbed, frame prepped, front suspension rebuilt, and power steering installed. The outside of the main body was completely stripped down to bare metal to determine the true condition. We purchased two brand new rear quarter panels @$1800.00 and several other parts. A serious medical condition is now forcing the sale. Here is what has been done so far. The rear wheel wells were tubbed, spare tire well has been filled, passenger door skin was replaced, chassis was cleaned , prepped and painted (a while ago), front suspension was rebuilt, 605 power steering box was installed, 9 inch ford rear end was installed, front floor sheet metal was replaced, outside of main body was completely stripped to bare metal. There are no rusted out areas at all. Comes with: Interior stainless trim and headliner bows - all in xlnt shape Stainless outside window trim - all in xlnt shape Brand new green tinted side window kit with stainless perimeter trim ( no wind wing glass) New body mount kit New hood hinges and springs Both new rear quarter panels cost $1800.00, still in shipping boxes Genuine centerline wheels 496 Big block fuel injected engine with computer, injection, and coil packs (needs rebuild) 4l80 automatic transmission - used The current tire is 9" wide with an 11" cross section. The wheel tub is just inside the frame rail. The frame rail is currently 4" in from the tire. We Were planning on a 4 link system which would allow a tire with @ 15" cross sectional area (12" to 13" wide). The spring perches can also be relocated to the inside of the opposite frame rails to accomplish the same thing with leaf springs. I was asked what is wrong with the rear quarters on the car now. Here is the response. When the car arrived here it was completely skim coated with bondo. It was between 1/8 inch thick and 1/2 inch thick. Media blasting does not remove bondo very well. We stripped the car down to bare metal to see what we were working with. The level of restoration that this customer wanted was to have no filler. (Less than 1/16 inch of filler on the vehicle anywhere). The body was very solid with no rust anywhere. The previous body work was evaluated and we determined that it was going to be more cost effective for us to replace the quarter panels than to try to metal work them to the condition requested by the customer. The previous metal work was probably acceptable to a production body shop. Call me if you have a more specific question. The previous winner of the auction for this car was unable to complete the transaction, so we are relisting the vehicle. Please email or call 928-759-9880 (Bob) with any questions or if you need more pictures. Vehicle is located in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Vehicle pick up or shipping is buyers responsibility. On May-17-13 at 17:02:16 PDT, seller added the following information: The vehicle is an in process project car. The hood does not have hinges attached, and will need to be secured for transport.(ratchet strap?) most of the parts will fit inside the car. There are no engine mounts on the frame, and the engine will need to sit on the trailer somewhere. The new quarter panels are still in the cardboard shipping boxes that are @24" x 36" x 108"
